How did he lie about Trump's transcript? Nevertheless, the witnesses coming forward to give depositions are verifying the charge of extortion of a foreign government by Trump. The phone call may have been the initial 'smoking guy' but what we're learning now is that it wasn't an isolated incident but that it fit in with a regular pattern.

I take it you didn't watch Schiff get caught for reading what he did of a made up conversation and then get caught in doing so, only to say that what he was saying was a "parody"?

Let me repeat this once more for the tenth time here. There are three (3) combined committees hearing depositions. The House Intelligence Committee, the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Oversight Committee. The committee that Matt Gaetz is a part of is NOT one of those three committees. He had absolutely no right -- zero -- to be there at all, none. He was desperate to inject himself inside that hearing room because he's a little trump toadie and wanted to run to the camera to disseminate in his own language, which would be pro-trump, about what was said during the deposition. These hearings aren't just 'fly by the seat of your pants' hearings. These meetings are being conducted according to judicial protocol. Matt Gaetz made a stink and delayed the beginning of the hearing for a full 45 minutes.

The secrecy and privacy of these hearings is specifically intended to eliminate leakers which is precisely what Matt Gaetz is. The committee he sits on is not one of the three committees selected to listen to confidential depositions. These are career foreign service officers whose allegiance is to the United States and the Constitution, not to the person that happens to be president.
