If I had a dollar for every parent that claimed they were going to homeschool or move their kid to private school, I wouldn't have to worry about how shitty teacher pay is.
What really resonated with me about this video was @ 3:20 where she talks about the importance of games, because it mirrored my experience with my own kids. Games are fun for kids, and if you can make learning fun, they soak it up like a sponge.
It seems to me the government (republicans) in some states are now deciding what is allowable and what is not. That's one of the things I so admire about the gop, they stay out of business that doesn't concern them, like cruise lines and academics in schools. Shouldn't teachers be the ones deciding what to teach and not our politicians?
