Savannah Guthrie asked Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) during an interview on NBC's "Today" early Wednesday if he was “living in a fantasy world” to think that the GOP tax bill will help workers.
Guthrie quoted former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg (I), who said in an op-ed earlier this month that such an argument is “pure fantasy.”

“CEOs aren’t waiting on a tax cut to ‘jump-start the economy’—a favorite phrase of politicians who have never run a company—or to hand out raises,” Bloomberg said. “It’s pure fantasy to think that the tax bill will lead to significantly higher wages and growth.”

“I’ll ask you plainly: Are you living in a fantasy world?” Guthrie asked Ryan.

Ryan pushed back, citing a survey from the National Association of Business Manufacturers.

Bloomberg is just another "tax and spend" liberal. Apparently, like Today show hosts, he's into fantasies such as the one where companies don't consider tax policy when considering where to invest their money or whether to repatriate earnings.

That's some sound journalism right there.

No, he's writhing in orgasmic bliss with Ayn Rand. What a climax to his nocturnal dreams.

And let's not forget the almighty Ayn Rand eagerly accepted Social Security & Medicare, when she was in self-inflicted need from the very thing she called a hoax - cigarette induced lung cancer.

Yep, she was vehemently anti-social-assistance & anti-science, similar to the crazy uprising we see today in Congress & the Oval Office. And of course also like those today, she was deadly wrong on both counts! So she summarily recanted herself through her actions, when her days of hard truth & reckoning had come.

I think more of her casual followers need to have full knowledge of the specifics of her life. Because a little knowledge, is truly a dangerous thing!

Benito trump is now the Kim Jong-un of the USA, with his GOP lap dogs clapping in unison and singing praises of their dear leader ...

With Lyin Ryan living off the public TEAt his entire life ...

There are good arguments for deregulating sectors of the economy and promoting entrepreneurship.

But Ayn Rand is a terrible source for good arguments promoting those ideas.

Her novels are garbage, her logic is comedic, and her motivations are obviously placed in promoting her own sociopathic and anti-social views as being moral.

Great point!

I see unmistakeable parallels with the trump crime syndicate and Harding with his teapot dome scandal, along with the unprecedented growth of white nationalism and the KKK during the 1920s.

Doesn't Kim Jong trump love all the praise and unified clapping, as if passing bastardized legislation differentiates us from NK.

97 Senators passed the last real tax reform; just as 97 Senators passed the VRA last time; not now. These GOPs would not have passed Civil Rights and have been actively sabotaging civil rights since 2011 ...

And don't forget when the Speaker said that his mother was dependent on SS to raise her children after the death of her husband.
