Not if Trump signes another EO!
Yes, he can be talked into it.
Two questions:
1. If Edmonton bounces back and wins will Trump invite them to the White House?
2. If Florida wins will Trump congratulate the players for being such "fine Americans?"

SO MUCH went on yesterday, it was hard to keep up with ALL the events. BUT................. I am sure some of us tried.

However, which event were YOU MOST focused on? I know I know. All of the above. But surely one of the events caught your ire or glee the most.

Surely.
Obviously the assassination.

The No Kings demonstration was just Americans being proper Americans.

The parade was just a dismal embarrassment for our military. This is hardly the first time they have been used as a prop. Nothing new.

Middle East violence: How is that even news?

I didn't even know the Stanley Cup was this week. I don't follow soccer.

1. You crack me up!
2. He'll throw himself another parade.

Not if Trump signes an appropriate EO!
Yes, he can be talked into it.

He's not god no matter how hard you try to convince otherwise.

We will NEVER be the 51st state. It is far more likely that certain blue states will beg to be part of the Canadian experiment.

Not too many slow news days this year. Poor Senator Padilla's political theater got totally swamped.
I spent the day on the lawn mower. Watched the parade and fireworks in the evening. Awesome event.

Was most focused on and encouraged by the huge turnout nationwide for No Kings.

The tragic Minnesota assassination cast a pall over the day, however.

I don’t know about attention, but the question why as to the parade and protests. Neither was going to change anything in this nation divided equally between pro-Trumpers and anti-Trumpers. As for Israel and Iran, a sigh. It was bound to happen sooner or later. The Minnesota shootings? I suppose they were political motivated. I don’t know that, but I assume they were. Our politics have moved from being a positive thing into one that is purely 100% negative. The NHL, I know nothing about it.

None grabbed my attention. But as I watched the Braves beat the Colorado Rockies 4-1, they were on the peripheral, that is all with the exception of the NHL. But my attention was more on baseball. Why not? With everything in this world going to hell in a hand basket, we need a diversion. That diversion helped, especially since the Braves won. Then it was back to all the negativity.

Let me properly finish that sentence for you..................
"You are just a woke, leftist Libtard, a Trump "hater" who suffers TDS, listens to the fake MSM, and A CANADIAN (who should be minding his own business)."
How'd I do?
As you are a Canadian, I welcome you to continue opining whenever you feel inclined to do so. And you are quite perceptive when it comes to your ideological leanings.

That's the magnanimous side of me being diplomatic.

The Stanley Cup is owned by a Canadian association. We "allow" American teams who have been lucky enough to win it to hold it and breathe the air next to it. But you will NEVER own it.
Maybe never own it, but the American teams have a long term lease. Did you know that the Zamboni is an American invention.

I've been seriously disconnected this last week because our car broke down weekend before last, about 3 hours from home. Had to use a couple of days this past week to get it to a shop (no one would look at it on a Saturday). Then had to pick it up on Saturday (this weekend). Plus my SIL and kids got hit by a guy running from cops on Tuesday night. So their car got totaled and one of their kids a little hurt (they're all fine, out of hospital that night, just what seemed to be a slight concussion, but still he's just a kid, younger than mine). And my mom and aunt and her husband are visiting so a lot going on here.

I had vaguely heard about the Israel attacking Iran thing and saw one mention of the assassin yesterday, but didn't check on it til today.
