Satanists Install 'Holiday Display' Next to Nativity in Illinois State Capitol

Amen. I for one do not want a christian nation so I applaud the satanists in this instance but I don't want to join their party.
The Satanists dont worship Satan. Most of us are Atheists. Its a logical sword that is used to attack the Christians who seek to destroy the strict separation of church and state as per the Establishment Clause. Christians cannot deny Satan exists, so when they seek to push their religion in public places the courts cannot refuse the same rights to satanists without the Christians denying a core concept of their own religion. Satan was created by their god and is a key player in the Christian religion as part of the eternal fight between good and evil, so they are logically forced to admit that Satan exists, and therefore must get equal time or space in public religious displays on taxpayer-owned property.

If Christians and other groups would keep all religious displays, meetings and prayer to private property where it constitutionally belongs the Satanists would disappear but until then they are the most effective tool to defend the separation of church and state.

Wow… How “Independent”.
I can sense the love of Christmas in Vance.

Nice. All the retarded leftists have their display to worship too. Merry Christmas to all.
It's too bad you feel that way. Your religion created Satan too. You do know that Satan was also created by God and if there is no Satan there is no God either. Us atheists are doing our part to rid the Earth of Satan. Can you say the same?

In that case I'm all for the usage of logical swords and I'm saying this as a person who was born into catholicism. Baptism, first holy communion catholic school and all the other grooming I listened to for ten years. Now imagine I'm finishing my freshman year of high school, have never flunked a subject and I flunk of all things, religion. I can only presume by that time my distaste for the whole catholic thing must have been showing.

Way too many folks have died over the years to convince me religion is a good thing.

lol...that's ridiculous...I don't care for their idolatry and paganism any more than you do...no one can push anything on you that you do not allow...
Do you mean like my female loved ones being told they don't have a voice in their private health decisions?

Or, that time President Eisenhower added "under God" to The Pledge of Allegiance and "In God We Trust" to American currency?

The same thing applies to me but in the Cleveland diocese. My father was 4th degree K of C. I have aunts and uncles who are deacons and a cousin who is a priest.

I didn't believe a word of it but I was punished if I didn't play along, so I BS'd my way though first communion and confirmation. The nuns hated me when I asked who created god in CCD. My knees are just about healed from deep knee bends and those hard kneelers in church.

We were permitted to make our own decision when we turned 18 and graduated from high school. I went to mass, usually as a C&E for a few times in college, mostly out of a feeling of guilt, but once the priest-pedo' scandal broke it told me all I needed to know about the morality of the church. I wrote a letter to the diocese and told them that I was no longer a catholic and to take my name from the active members.

I still eat fish on Friday during lent, mostly because I love fish, but that is as close as I am to being religious. The vast majority of my family are still catholic, some very conservative Latin Catholics, so I am abut as welcome as a whore in church, and I dont really care.

I don't say the pledge so I wouldn't know...

Good for you about not caring. For years I wouldn't eat fish, moved to florida and that changed rapidly. I'm very happy without a god in my life. I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

You don't know any females of childbearing age? No US currency either?
I don't know any who would murder their unborn child, no...Us currency spends...that's all that matters...who cares what is on it?

Just before we graduated a friend of mine was hungover and sitting in the balcony at 11:30 mass. He was tired of playing along and went George Carlin on the priest, heckleing him during the homily. It was hilarious, until the priest escorted him out of church, for the very last time.

We used to play that song in the parking lot in church before we had to go to CCD. The nuns and the priest hated it.

Hi fellow sinner!!!! I guess we'll be cell mates in their imaginary hell. ;-)

You wrote "no one can push anything on you that you do not allow..."

So, it's not a question about you knowing someone that would murder their unborn child.

Again, you are required to use currency that has words on it that are from someone else's religious beliefs.

You made a false statement and my three examples explain why it's false.

Nope...I don't care...there is a difference...

As a rule, I don't go into the political forum...if a topic interests me in the new threads, maybe...but politics per se, no...
huh?

You do know this is debate politics, right?

Nope, no difference...the key is to not be offended...you should try it...
I'm positive it's your team that has the corner market on clutching pearls over everything.

Beyond that, you can't offend me, dear because I don't value your opinion.

You do know there are many forums here besides politics, right?
The forum is mostly about politics.

And for the record I still don't believe you don't know what the Dobbs decision is.

You would be wrong...I don't get offended easily, as you will learn...
