Today (well yesterday) in the latest example of FAFO, Sarah Sanders, Trump's former WH spox from his first term, and now Gov. of Arkansas, pleads for disaster relief from the federal government.

And true to his word, Trump wants the states to handle their own disaster recovery.

Feel for those people in Arkansas who may not have voted for Trump, but I'm not sure there are alot of them. In any case, those who did, you got what you voted for.

Suckers!

If the state voted for Sanders, rest assured the majority voted for Trump. This is exactly what they cheered for.

Meanwhile fires and floods are causing other major problems in republican controlled states. Who wants to be trump's huckleberry?

everyone wants $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

isn't that really what its all about ?

and is there a wonder we are $37 trillion in debt ? I agree with liberals/Democrats now ... run that debt to $100 trillion, print money ... it doesn't matter now anyway

What's that saying I'm trying to recall? Oh yeah, elections have consequences. MAGA is getting what they voted for, hope they like it, if not appeal it like sanders.

Are you upset a republican controlled state is asking for money for disaster relief? I'm loving it. Getting what you asked to happen to others is a bitch, no?

When reality comes crashing into your beliefs a deep depression can easily follow.

2024 Election Results
64% Trump
34% Harris

2022 Governor
63% Sanders
35% Jones

I'm surprised that the Trump administration is screwing their own voters so directly, and so soon. But not that surprised.

I'm actually surprised that Trump is screwing MAGA families so fast in so many ways.

nope, I'm ok with no Fed aid - fair and equal treatment is what everyone should want

now if the Fed Govt was giving to some states and not other that'd be a problem

now if we all support $100 trillion deficit? than by all means give $$$$$$$$$ anytime it rains a half inch

Oh, you live in Arkansas in the storm-ravaged areas?

Well, they're not billionaires, so he doesn't gaf.

If you can't pay Trump $1M-$5M to meet with him at Mar-a-lardo, you're not worth his time.

I don't quite understand it, but I am fairly sure they did not vote for this.

Truly, the chaotic nature of whatever Trump says both prevents pinning down a position, and also allows interpretation by those who want to.

For example, if they actually voted for this to happen to "those other" states, and by some wild flight of delusion thought it could not apply to them.

They did vote for anything Trump, however. While they were deceived by Trump's campaign lies, I'm quite confident they would still have voted for Trump even if he assured them, they would lose emergency FEMA support. All he had to say was that everything would be great if they elected him and they fell for it like a good adoring cult.

Yes. I agree.

And Trump and the GOP can't justify the pending biggest Juiciest tax cut in history if they waste money on states that are crying over some piddly natural disasters.
Bootstraps.
