The Vermont Senator is poised to arrive at the Democratic convention as the stronger candidate to take on Trump.Senator Bernie Sanders would defeat Donald Trump relatively easily in a general election, according to the latest polls. An average of the three most recent major polls predicts a victory of more than 14 points, which would be a landslide in modern presidential politics.
As the country adjusts to the notion that a xenophobic, racist billionaire will be the Republican candidate for the presidency in November, no doubt many hope the strongest candidate emerges from the Democratic Party to defeat him.
- CNN/ORC, May 1: Sanders obliterates Trump by 16 points
- IBD/TIPP, April 28: Sanders defeats Trump by 12 points
- USA Today/Suffolk, April 24: Sanders defeats Trump by 15 points
The polls are clear on who that candidate is.
And at this point, it isn’t just the polls. Political analysis of the two Democratic campaigns also indicates Bernie Sanders is the stronger candidate.

Woopy ding-ding. Sanders isn't going to dent the dems as presidential hopeful. Berners know this. Some Berners will side with Trump and his anti-establishmentarism.
Some Conservatives are also siding with Trump as the clear cut choice to Hillary.
Trump's favorables are going up.
Maybe the dems want to make Sanders their presidential hopeful?

I'm also looking at the favorables of establishment VS anti-establishment candidates. Seems like lifers in politics are really taking it on the chin in polls. Let these current poll results nourish you but become aware these polls are gonna change.LoL
Which poll are you looking at? Trump has a 65% unfavorable rating with women, wishful thinking on your part. But then again, that rating is so low there is only one way to go.
Donald Trump’s unfavorable rating is unprecedented | New York Post
Too late I suspect, I am not so sure about Sanders putting up enough fight in the remaining State contests to force a contested Democrat convention. It might be close, we cannot be for sure.

As horrible as Trump is, BS would probably do the greater harm.
How so?
He'd just be the president, not god or a king.
What exactly do you think he's gonna do?
Congress will still make the laws. He would just sign or veto them.
I think of would do the country good to hear the actual liberal positions and not just republican light, which is all the dem party is now. A slightly gentler neoliberalism.
Why is sanders so scary?
Presidents do not need Congress to do harm.
Please elaborate. Executive orders?
Don't forget not executing laws proposed by both houses like immigration law or making up other laws like the Justice Department and its attempt to force N. Carolina out of its 'bathroom' stance for LGBT.True. The country has about the best set of checks&balances of any I have looked at. But that is no excuse for neglecting the most efficient stop on power. Obama put through ACA, which indicates that Congress can be had. Executive orders and the like can be used treacherously. And Justices die. All sorts of things a President can do.

President Obama proposed the ACA, then backed-off it over his first year in office, where it seemed to languish awaiting it's demise. Speaker Pelosi then picked-up the ACA torch and carried it through her Democratically controlled Congress. It was her Congress that passed the ACA - not Obama!True.
