S&R launch search after report of "someone screaming in distress" only to find a camper singing Nickelback.

Too funny! We all just wanna be big rock stars, they say.

I feel the dude. I'm not ashamed to say that I think Nickelback is good. Come at me!

Nickelback went commercial after their 2nd album. Pappy predictable songs. It's no wonder people don't like them.

BUT...................................... I have the 2nd album on CD. One has to actually listen to both the music which is hard hitting and the lyrics to recognize they were something different back then.

AI Overview

Nickelback's "Silver Side Up," released in 2001, is a commercially successful album that propelled the band into mainstream popularity. It's a post-grunge/alt-metal record featuring hard-hitting riffs and introspective lyrics addressing themes like domestic violence, absent fathers, and relationship struggles. While some critics found it formulaic and derivative, others praised its energy and willingness to tackle serious issues.
