No. No hard feelings towards Putin or his people. Just that it is war against us that they are waging at many levels and supporting a mass murderer and criminal against humanity that has had thousands tortured over day, weeks or months till dead so that he gets the population back for another go at it. So it is good news every time one of them is dead even ones building up the morale of the troops in the first line. This is not a question of emotions but one of ethics and security.
Retaliation by ISIL members for Syria? For Aleppo?A Russian plane carrying 92 people to an air base in Syria crashed Sunday into the Black Sea minutes after taking off from the city of Sochi, Russia's Defense Ministry said. Thousands of rescue workers were searching the undersea crash site but there appeared to be no survivors. Those on board included dozens of members of Russia's world-famous army choir.
The cause of the crash wasn't immediately known. At least one expert cited a terror attack as a possible reason — a scenario rejected by Russian officials.
The Russian military has repeatedly flown groups of Russian singers and artists to perform at Hemeimeem, which serves as the main hub for the Russian air campaign in Syria.
The passenger list for the Sochi plane released by the Defense Ministry included 64 members of the Alexandrov Ensemble, including its leader, Valery Khalilov. The ensemble, often referred to as the Red Army choir, is the official choir of the Russian military and also includes a band and a dance company. The choir sang "Get Lucky" at the opening of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games that Russia hosted in Sochi, becoming an instant online sensation.

I don't know if that can be claimed to be too old and worn out, the c-130 has been in the us military since 1954, and is still used today.
Most of his supposed mass murder was against rebels trying to overthrow them. It would be on par with claiming the union was mass murdering innocent civilians in the south by claiming all confederate troops were innocent civilians. The only death tolls being released are from groups constantly accused of counting armed rebels and isis/al nursa fronts as civilians.
He was definately a tyrant, but in the short chaos more damage was done by isis and al nursa and the rebels who sided with them, like kicking gay people off high buildings and beheading woman for not being conservative enough with their clothing.
The middle east needs dictators, without them every faction kills eachother, while the govts we overthrow tend to protect minorities. The middle east will remain said way until they can work out a system of democracy that works for them, not one the west imposes on them. The biggest cause of the entire crisis in syria is us meddling, libya already looks like somalia, and we only cared about human rights there until their leader was disposed of, then we left it high and dry, and now it is an isis stronghold. Syria will end up the same way.
Not the same planes. When I started flying, we had just transitioned from the C-130A's to the C-130B's. When I got out we were transitioning to the C-130H. The current model is the C-130J with all new airframe and engine technology, as well as state of the art avionics and electronics - a completely different plane than the ones I flew on.
Russia is flying the exact same old planes with the same old airframes and engines that were built decades ago. That's the difference.

Yeah, Kurds, Christians and other innocents were also affected by the Civil War in Syria but the main driver of the opposition of the Assad government and hence the Syrian Civil War came from ISIL. Assad's government is an offshoot of Shia Islam. ISIL is an offshoot of Sunni Islam. Sunni Islam and Shia Islam go together like oil and water.
Nope. Do some reading.

Retaliation for something, by somebody, is my guess.
Most likely candidate IMO would be Israeli Mossad.
