Yes friends it is true. Russia will not stop fighting freedom and democracy until they are defeated. The death and destruction that is happening nightly in Ukraine will come to europe soon if Putin is not stopped. We are now in a world war with authoritarians who cannot allow any democracy to exist because it is a threat to them. China will invade Taiwan and at the same time Russia will attack NATO. This is our future if we cannot get the weapons Ukraine needs to win now.

Russia has failed to defeat Ukraine, that's a loss for Putin. He's not likely to get it done and without that his days are numbered. The Russian economy is not in great shape and is being propped up with dollars from the government from it's black market oil sales and used to keep manufacturing war materials. Those jobs will fade away pretty quickly if the war ends. War ends and Putin ends. He's in real trouble. He can't beat Ukraine, how the hell you think he can defeat NATO?

The US has done more damage to “freedom and democracy” than Russia could dream of.

No, we are not in a “world war”, and the fearmongering is ridiculous.

It is not about what I think it is about what Putin thinks. He thinks he can beat Ukraine and NATO also. China is backing him up too. They need a diversion to attack Taiwan,

So what?

It is. But it is still worth helping Ukraine kill Russians.
So all the talk about Russia “waging war on freedom and democracy” is nonsensical.

Clearly not, if the only way the OP can justify it is fearmongering.

Putin's decision loop is so short now that he literally can't think ahead. He would start a war with the Baltics on Monday with the full knowledge that it will go pear-shaped by Wednesday, because it is Monday now and he has to do something before HE goes out a window. He is irrational because he literally hasn't got the resources to do anything else.

That is actually the most correct thing and the most important thing about all of this.

We are a threat to Russia and China and that makes us targets. Maybe not right away because Trump may want conquests of his own. Russia and China can no longer hide democracies from their people and that makes every democracy a mortal threat to their regimes.

The decade Russia was a democracy saw economic crisis that made the Great Depression look tame, corruption levels through the roof, insurgents raiding on its borders and general chaos. The idea that democracy poses a “mortal threat” is not supported by the facts....

Especially since America has destroyed far more democracies than Russia.

I can see why Russia feels threatened by democracy after a decade of corruption, border insurgencies and general chaos not to mention a severe depression.

Yikes!

Russia still can't take Ukraine and Putin is talking about taking Europe. LOL. He's become a caricature of himself. The former KGB Lt. Colonel is now a warped and frustrated old man. Putin lost a long time ago. Talking trash changes nothing.

Russia totally is.

The fact that we do it all the time does not excuse Russia's bad acts.

Moscow Times

Russian lawmakers have approved legislation that will allow tax authorities to recover debts directly from citizens’ bank accounts without a court order, expanding the state’s power to collect unpaid taxes from individuals, the state-run TASS news agency reported.

If accounts lack sufficient funds, bailiffs would be authorized to seize other personal assets, legal experts said.

They are running out of money.

When democracy produces leaders as bad as Yeltsin, people see no reason to replicate it.

Russia has destroyed one democracy in its entire history.

The U.S. has done more than that in Latin America alone.

Yeah, that's great. So what?
So if Russia were actually “waging war against democracy”…..why have just about the only regimes they toppled been corrupt autocrats and outright fascists?

Because Eastern Europe and Central Asia are not known for their democratic ways.

Putin is an infinitely better leader than Yeltsin on pretty much every level.

Really... on pretty much every level.

Can you name one leadership quality Yeltsin has over Putin, please?

Ironically the US helped make that situation worse
