Ukraine war: Russia troop deployment to Belarus prompts speculation

With Russia quitely moving troops into Belarus, one can only draw the conclusions that the rumors from summer that Putin wants another go at Kyiv is true. He is planning to make another attempt at seizing the Ukrainian capital. However does he have enough men to spare from other frontlines to pull off this or does he need the Belarusian army? Will Luka join? Belarus has been reluctant to be dragged in too deep, the Luka regime knows the war isn't popular among their citizens, and worry about their own independence. Who is to say they won't be integrated into Russia if they join. Also their army is not trained to fight people that shoots back. But do they have a choice, or is Putin's noose tightening around their neck?

There is of course also a possibility that Putin is bluffing, just wants to tie Ukrainian troops to the Belarusian border. Thus far Russia has not moved heavy equipment into Belarus.

There is a lot of our heavy equipment left after the exercises for the Belarusian army since February, there is no need to transfer anything there... in addition, all repair plants in Belarus still serve a lot of withdrawn equipment from Ukraine after the end of March.
PS: have you visited your homeland? You can send greetings with me if anything.

Moscow may also be considering invading Ukraine from Belarus again but from western Belarus. Drive due south to the Medyka-Szeginie/Shehyni border crossing with Poland. This is where most of the Western weapons/munitions enter Ukraine via roadways and rail. Moscow's problem here is - once again - a long supply chain. I really do not think Lukashenka wants to see Belarus sucked into the Ukraine quagmire. His regime is already highly unpopular at home.

Any plans to be mobilised?
For me, the mobilization began earlier than for many.

You teach war crimes? That seems to be the only thing the Russian military excells at.

And your imprisonment of Brittney Griner for 9 years for possession of less than a gram is petty beyond words.

But Russia protects ITS criminals. Right there in the constitution .... no extradition of Russians indicted abroad!

And Putin still has poor Alexei Navalny locked up. Do you wish you were his jailer?

Pretty ****ing sad.

What's wrong with being Russian?
Because Russians are Darth Vader and Ukrainians are Luke Skywalker. Its a black and white narrative where Darth Vader blows up his own Rhydonium supply lines and plants plutonium laced bombs in its own deathstar.
