Gee, sounds like America failed pathetically to convince anyone in Afghanistan a pro American regime was still worth fighting for. Nobody wanted to die for a fanatically racist regime like the US which didn’t see the Afghans as anything but second class citizens in their own country. The Afghan army threw down their arms as soon as they were not going to be paid by America. They were only in it for the money. Afghanistan was the one that was humiliated. It has been their destiny for centuries. One can only hope that someday they will enter the 21st century.
The US stabbing the Afghans who did feel enough loyalty to flee in the back on further proves that point.
