Let me see if I have this right….You posted a thread calling US police thugs and accused them of brutality and now you post a thread with links to video showing police using teargas, water cannons and rubber bullets in response to rioters who are being supported by Moscow and you expect me to do what? Care?
Do you live in Moscow? Do you think the US is evil?

It makes a difference who supports the protesters? What do you mean by 'support'? Where do you live... do you think Moscow is evil?
It does make a difference, that is the problem. People have predetermined indoctrinated ideas about who is bad and who is good. Old fashion opinions that are not surviving the changes brought on by time.
The problem with this is that people do not see that Russia is changing in a positive way, while the US is changing in a negative way. In their mind Russia because it is in their opinion the bad, can never change, and everything associated with Russia is thought of negatively, allthewhile the US is looked positively so people are overlooking all the bad things going on and willing to think positively at everything that is associated with the US.
In the more moderate, China is moving in a positive direction and Europe is following the US in a bad direction.
Georgia, no matter what people in the US want to believe because of these dogmas, is a ****hole half fascist state ruled by a madman. Everyone should support a free Georgia, but this first and foremost will be about getting rid of Saakashvili and reforming the rotten political system.
And while we have a clearly corrupt Saakashvilli, a "free georgia" won't exist on a border with a massively corrupt great power interested in dominating its near abroad.
so, Canada can not be an intellectual democracy?
just to say I find your post prejudice..
Why do people who clearly hate the Nation that gives them the right to Ant-American move to one the Nations they adore, or run for public office and make change from within.
It's not that hard. If I can do it anyone came.
Oh that's right you have to have a message that makes sense be able to present policies that are logical and popular.
There is always Obama did it, just learn read what other people write for you off a teleprompter and lie you ass off about what you really stand for, then be prepared to lie to cover those lies, than deny the truth at every turn.
It wouldn't hurt for you to get the whack jobs in the Liberal Media on your side and agree never to tell the truth.
So saying Georgia is a ****hole is not prejudiced, whereas calling a spade a spade by noting the oligarchial rule of Russia, inclusive as it is of intimidation of domestic reformers and the media, Putins ill gotten wealth at the humble citizens expense and the axis of corrupt countries that happen to surround it is prejudiced?
Russia, European Commission condemn violence against opposition in Georgia — RT
Georgian police brutally cracks down on regime protestors. this ofcourse goes unreported in the US where the fascists in Washinton DC are known to support the madman Saakashvili of Georgia.
WTF are you talking about? The US government hasn't supported Saakashvili since 2008. And even then it wasn't "the fascists in Washington DC," it was George W. Bush specifically. Obama doesn't give a damn about Saakashvili, and has been quite successful at repairing US-Russia relations. Saakashvili has been becoming more authoritarian for quite some time now, and he has very few friends left in Washington.
But I guess that doesn't fit into your narrative of how evil America is. Time for you to switch gears and talk about how horrible we fascists are for siding against a lovely individual like Saakashvili.
Georgia was like this the whole time, your government supported them allthewhile and your country made Russia out to be bad for saving Abkhazia and South Ossetia from suppression and genocide, and protecting Georgia from civil war.
I believed the whole time it makes no difference if its Bush or Obama, republicans or democratcs. Its all the same rotten shi* anyways.
If the Georgia-Russia War repeated today, the US government would fall somewhere between a neutral, hands-off approach and a mildly pro-Russian approach. To claim that Saakashvili still has much support in Washington is factually incorrect, and the only reason you even bring it up is so that you have an excuse to rant about how horrible America is.
I was under the impression that Georgia was being groomed for NATO...
As with many other countries in Eastern Europe wikileaks provides some interesting insight on this topic. Things may seem friendly on the US's part but it's apparently playing a game behind Russia's back. (Arming and training folks all over eastern europe to balance russia *tip*tip*)

I dont live in Moscow. and yes I think the USmhas turned pretty evil. actually zi think most governments are pretty evil.some are psrticularly bad, and some are moving their country particularily fast from good to bad.
but you live in the US, so zou probably think saakashvili is not a madman, that Georgia is a good country just because the US media is automatically taking anti russia stands.
Georgia is a ****hole and their president a madman, he has been the whole time..
Russia is a bigger ****hole isn't it?
I think it is important to understand where Russia has come from 20 years ago and look at where they are now, instead of being stuck in a 1990 look at Russia. Russia has opened up and improved a lot the last 20 years.
In the west we are all too ready to condemnt and critisise Russia and forgetting to condemnt and critisise ourselves, always giving ourselves the benefit of the doubt even if our societies are moving from having been open societies into being something else..
Russia hasn’t changed jack squat other than the ability to enslave entire nations for decades. When is the last time Russia did anything to make the world a better place?
Other than challenging the US at every opportunity, Russia only does what is in Russia’s best interest.
