Russia Airs Its Ultimate ‘Revenge Plan’ for America

As Russia’s war of aggression continues to ravage its neighbor, the Kremlin’s propaganda apparatus has been more blatant than ever before in outlining the country’s goals for its biggest nemesis: the U.S. Last week, American intelligence officials reportedly assessed that Russian President Vladimir Putin may use the Biden administration’s support for Ukraine as a pretext to order a new campaign to interfere in U.S. elections. Though AP reported that “it is not yet clear which candidates Russia might try to promote or what methods it might use,” Russian state media seem to be in agreement that former U.S. President Donald Trump remains Moscow’s candidate of choice. The time is coming “to again help our partner Trump to become president,” state TV host Evgeny Popov recently declared. On Thursday’s edition of the state television show The Evening With Vladimir Soloviev, Putin’s pet pundits offered an update on plans for 2024. “When things thaw out and the presidential race for 2024 is firmly on the agenda, there’ll be moments we can use,” he added. “The most banal approach I can think of is to invite Trump—before he announces he’s running for President—to some future summit in liberated Mariupol.”

If state television is any indication, the real agenda of the Kremlin’s operatives was never limited to boosting any particular candidates, but rather aimed to harm America as a whole. Dudakov stressed: “With Europe, economic wars should take priority. With America, we should be working to amplify the divisions and—in light of our limited abilities—to deepen the polarization of American society.” He went on: “There is a horrific polarization of society in the United States, very serious conflicts between the Democrats and Republicans that keep expanding. You’ve already mentioned that America is a dying empire—and most empires weren’t conquered, they were destroyed from within. The same fate likely awaits America in the near decade. That’s why, when all the processes are thawed, Russia might get the chance to play on that.” The midterms, he emphasized, are “just a rehearsal. The main elections are further ahead and preparations for those are already underway.”

The American far-right would strongly support a Trump 2024 ticket aided by Vladimir Putin.

In gratitude, Trump would do whatever Putin demanded. First on the list would be a Putin demand to pull the US out of NATO.

Not so far fetched as others would like to believe. Putin did support Trump vs. Clinton in 2016 because he felt he could get a better deal with Trump. He was right;

"The Russian government interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election with the goals of harming the campaign of Hillary Clinton, boosting the candidacy of Donald Trump, and increasing political and social discord in the United States. According to the U.S. intelligence community, the operation—code named Project Lakhta[1][2"

The criminals are a serious threat in this country. It's not really about any ideology, it's just about criminality.

Traditional western liberal democracy is under siege from abroad and under assault at home. Its future around the world is uncertain in a way that would have been unthinkable just a few decades ago. It was, after all, in the afterglow of the end of the cold war when Francis Fukuyama wrote his book "The End of History and the Last Man", triumphantly declaring the final victory of western liberal democracy over communism, religious extremism, and others. Boy was that off:

"Trump, Le Pen and Orban don't come anywhere near the depravity and violence of Putin, who is perpetrating atrocities in Ukraine on a scale not seen since at least the Bosnian war and probably since World War II.

But the tactics of many of the anti-establishment politicians stem from a similar well of political toxicity. They rely on whipping up anger over economic conditions into resentment of foreigners, Muslims and outsiders, including other minority communities.

Some concentrate on eroding the reputation of democratic systems and a free press to build power. Anything that increases the cynicism of the electorate about its rulers and the system that keeps them in place creates a new pool of anger that can be exploited.

Voter suppression eroded democracy in Russia and Hungary, and it's doing the same in the US. It's not certain that Trump's extremism will provide a path to power among a diverse general electorate. But he remains the dominant figure in his party and the front-runner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

Trump's entire political project -- one that incited an unprecedented assault on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 -- is now based on a big lie: that the US election was rigged in 2020.

The more outrageous the lie, the more it can be weaponized for a politician's nefarious means. Putin's rationale for invading Ukraine -- that the country is under the grip of Nazis, when in reality it has a democratically elected, Jewish President -- springs from the same well of dangerous fantasy politics."

The only way to stop putin from interfering with our elections is to never vote for a republican.

We all know that no democratic politician is going to do what putin wants which is why he hates democratic politicians.

I knew all along that the conservative/republican claims of hating communists and dictators was nothing but a lie but now they have no problem with even trying to hide it. They are out in the open supporting a man who was raised a communist, was the head of the KGB and has become a dictator.

He has committed countless war crimes and won't stop until he is forced to stop.

He wants to destroy the US and is using republicans to do it.

The only answer is to not vote for any republican for public office.

Full disclosure: I have been a registered Independent since 1978. I have voted a variety of parties through the decades. I can't vote for a republican. So the republicans have left me no choice but to vote for democrats.

If you love the United States of America, don't vote for a republican until they clean their house.

Tell us again how trump has no ties to Russia…

I, of course, agree, and you're preaching to the choir. Are you by chance advocating for further regulation, meaning more than platform self regulation, of the scourge that is Social Media? If so, how do we walk that tightrope in the U.S of A.? Trump was already banned for life from Twitter, which is an interesting precedent.

Haha! You want solutions? That’s way beyond my pay-grade. I’m just trying to understand the problem! 😊

But then again, I guess the first step in trying to solve a problem is trying to understand it.

Do you see damaging disinformation that has led to civil unrest and violence as something that should be stopped through regulation in a country of free speech? This obviously goes beyond social media. I mean, after all, the right is finding ways to limit free speech with things they simply don't like that have nothing to do with promoting violence.

This is complete garbage. You guys need to do better research. There are dumb people on both sides that believe stuff about Putin that isn't true. However, its obvious Putin respected Trump enough not to invade another country. Whereas, he invaded other countries under Obama and Biden because they are weak and sellouts like the Clinton's to foreign powers. They are anti-American. Biden voted against helping South Vietnam back in the 1970s like we promised to and he is a part of why the North Vietnamese Communists (socialists) took over that entire country which also lead to the Cambodian Genocide by Pol Pot. These democrats have never cared about anybody in America or in the world unless they line their pocket. Rwandan Genocide, ring a bell. They do not care about black-white-mexican-chinese-indian people, women, children, or anybody outside of getting their vote. Can you name more than one good thing Biden or Obama did for our country? Doesn't the Hunter Biden laptop not raise your alarm or the fact that Bernie Sanders had a honeymoon in Russia and Hunter was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company's board making bank. How else would he have gotten that position without his dad interfering the U.S. with foreign governments. Maybe you should recall the hot mic Obama moment with Dmitry Medvedev of Russia and look at the facts not the lying conspiracies of the mainstream media that is owned primarily by democrats, hmm no wonder right.

Putin revenge campaign???? Not sure Putin has the horses any longer. He has managed to push the two biggest and most important remaining pieces to the NATO puzzle, Finland and Sweden to NATO's side of the board. Both countries have excellent military assets and Finland shares an 800 mile land border with Russia. Smooth Vladimir, real smooth.

If the DEM's could ever whip up a reasonable PR machine, FINALLY this is the year. They have Sen Rick Scott's Republican Senatorial campaign platform released a day after Mitchie-poo said they didn't need one. This plan includes taxing every SS recipient, virtually everybody regardless of how low their income....the very opposite of a progressive tax and it includes sunsetting every federal program after 5 years including Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Scott says if the programs are important enough "we could just reauthorize them". Yea right Rick. It takes Congress 5 years to decide on lunch. This has LOSER written all over it.

And yes back to Vladimir who is losing everywhere...world opinion, military strength, NATO, conquest in Ukraine. You are just a big fat LOSER Vladimir.

And Donnie, how does it feel to be anatomy licking lapdog to a big FAT L-O-S-E-R. Don't see much relief on the horizon for you either Donnie. Lots of court activity on the horizon and in play now and wait till the country gets a load of your select list of supported candidates. DR Oz, Hershel Walker et al.

If Putin is saying that he wants Trump elected, you can bet he actually does not.

He is ex-kgb. he knows what effect his opinion will have by and large, and it will be anti Trump.

Putin himself has not said who he will support and his support is covert anyway. So I don't much value the contents of your post.
