Rule of law is ‘endangered,’ Chief Justice John Roberts says (1 Viewer)

Stupid comment. Show me the full context of Roberts use of the word 'endangered.' Then we can discuss it.
Read the attached article.

DO NOT defend the GQP morons on the SCOTUS. Thanks bunches.

This is what happens when you have a conservative majority Supreme Court, vetted by the ultra-conservative Federalist Society, that believes in the Unitary Exective Theory.

This theory argues that a president has virtually unlimited "executive power" due to the Vesting Clause. Hence Donald Trump's record for Executive Orders during his first 100 days which is remarkably akin to ruling by decree.

And the Supreme Court opened a Pandora's Box with their ruling regarding presidential immunity. Accountability is also severely dimimnished when coupled with the power of the presidential pardon.

And at least two Justices on the Roberts court (Thomas and Alito) have admitted accepting "gifts" from individuals with legal business before the Supreme Court.

The Roberts Court is compromised and corrupt.

This is bribery and it is ABSOLUTELY grounds for their arrest.

Well. Uh. I.

Just wow.

"Chief Justice John Roberts described the rule of law as “endangered” and warned against “trashing the justices,” but speaking in Washington Monday he didn’t point fingers directly at President Donald Trump or his allies for publicly excoriating judges who’ve ruled against aspects of Trump’s agenda.

...

As many legal experts express grave concern about Trump’s attacks on law firms and with several federal judges advancing inquiries into whether the administration is refusing to comply with court orders, Roberts took a longer-term view Monday. He blamed schools for shortchanging civics education and leaving students with little understanding of the structure of U.S. government or the role of the courts."

...The president is at war with the lower levels of the federal judiciary. He will get around to the Supreme Court very soon. And the best the chief justice of the United States can muster in defense of his branch of the government sounds like something a kindergarten teacher would say to a kid who draws on the walls of the classroom. The alarm bells are ringing, and this guy is the snooze button.

All of the right-wing members of the SCOTUS are traitors who deserve to be removed from office.

Ok-- but he is not ruling by decree.
Every action of a president does not require approval of Article I or Article III branch.
Article II branch is actually allowed to exercise power.
They could. They could repeal the power of a president to impose tariffs.
They could give Mr. Trump some support with his efforts to deport illegal aliens.
Trump has made Executive Orders into decrees. And he is not exercising power he is ruling by decrees.

An Executive order is s decree.
To the Executive branch.
Of which he runs.

it was an exhortation for civics to be taught as most simply do not understand separation of powers.

If Roberts wants less criticism -perhaps the rulings should be more then just procedural - afterall SCOTUS is the one place to determine what is constitutional/unconstituional..and for Great Buddha's sake RULE on District courts ability to issue 'nationwide' TRO!

The separation of powers means that all three branches are equals. Trump is treating the executive branch as superior and above the other two by overstepping the authority invested in the presidency. Trump doesn’t understand the separation of powers or the limits of his office. He keeps forcing the courts to get involved because the weak kneed Republicans in Congress won’t do their jobs. That is why everything keeps ending up with the Supreme Court.
