Rudy Giuliani: "There's nothing wrong about taking information from the Russians"

Really? Post that part of campaign finance law (or any law) that says the accused has to know they broke the law to be guilty.

It's that part Comey cited..."No reasonable prosecutor..."

Mueller isn't a reasonable prosecutor, or he wouldn't be talking about exoneration, but he likes to play one for you.

So I should jump to your command? Who are you, my wife?

Clinton campaign, DNC helped fund Trump dossier research, report says - CNNPolitics

Clinton campaign, DNC helped fund dossier research

A source familiar with the matter told CNN on Tuesday that the law firm Perkins Coie, as part of its representation of the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained the intelligence firm Fusion GPS and entered "into an engagement for research services that began in April 2016 and concluded before the election in early November."

A letter to Fusion GPS, which was written by Perkins Coie general counsel Matthew Gehringer, notes that it is revealing its role in hiring Fusion to aid the firm in its fight not to be forced to reveal its confidential list of clients.

Sick that the future inmates in the FBI didn't think to tell the FISA court about Hillary's laundering operation to keep itself from being connected to work with a foreign country and foreign agents to influence the outcome of a Presidential election.

And, have you read about the details? Their are certain factors that you are ignoring. Point 1 is that there was a third party involved in the middle, and the DNC and Clinton campaign had no knowledge of Steele until the dossier came out. it's pretty pitiful that you are still mine quoting things to avoid that fact. It's not a 'laundering operation'.. That is a spin that is a lie. Hy do you keep on repeating lies?? It is to distract from the misdeeds of the Trump campaign? I mean, according to the Mueller report, the ONLY reason that Eric and Don Jr were not indicted is that they were political neophytes, and Mueller could not show they knew it was illegal. The campaign finance laws have the 'knowledge' part written into them.

It's that part Comey cited..."No reasonable prosecutor..."
I must have missed that.

Mueller isn't a reasonable prosecutor, or he wouldn't be talking about exoneration, but he likes to play one for you.
Mueller made very clear that Trump is, in no way, exonerated from the charge of obstruction.

This is too ****ng funny.

How the HELL are idiot leftists going to pretend to be poutraged over THIS ridiculousness when they support and defend a candidate and a party that not only ACCEPTED information from Russians, but after going through 2 intermediaries to hide their actions not only bought and PAID for information from Russians to use to attempt to sway a US election but then colluded with corrupt piece of **** federal agents in an attempt to overthrow the results of said election?

This is the ultimate in idiot leftist hypocrisy.

The GOP is dead. It committed fratricide beginning in the early 90s and finally killed off the last members in 2017. It's just the Republican party; a meaner, more extreme version of the Democrats. They spend money like Democrats but kill taxes for the rich and corporations. The Republicans have approved two budgets that were near or over a TRILLION dollar deficit. We live in interesting times.

Yeah, this. And it pains me to say it because unlike Trump, I was actually a Republican my entire adult life. He has destroyed the party, but the reality is, the party allowed him to destroy it.

I thought Wallace's head was going to explode yesterday. And Rudy, who I once very much respected and admired, is not like a bad caricature.

No doubt you did miss that. Intent for thee, but not for me, or something like that.

The purpose of a SC has nothing to do with exoneration. Nothing. Maybe you didn't notice it, but Comey's refusal to charge Hillary was not an exoneration, either.

My history is similar; I was a Republican for almost 40 years before becoming so disgusted I became a Libertarian-leaning Independent. Never a Democrat. :)

I honestly don't know what Rudy's deal is. Is he just sucking up to Trump to pad his retirement plan in the Bahamas? Is he a true believer? Does Trump have some sort of dirt on Rudy that is sooooo bad that Rudy must spend the rest of Trump's Presidency on his knees in front of Donnie? So many questions about this.

I wish I knew the answers. It's almost like Trump knows where the bodies are buried when it comes to Rudy. It's inexplicable. It's also startling how weird Rudy looks when he is speaking on TV now.

I'm still a registered Republican but I'm rapidly getting to the point that I won't vote for one again if something doesn't change. In 2016 I voted for every Republican on my ballot except Trump (I voted for Johnson). I'm really not sure what my 2020 ballot will look like.

Not everyone here is a Leftist as Trump's favorability numbers bear out. Most are disgusted Republicans and Independents as shown in the last election and will be demonstrated again in 2020.

They are all New Yorkers and run in the same circles, so your comment about knowing where the bodies are buried is certainly true.

I voted exactly the same way in 2016, but in 2018, for the first time, I voted a straight Libertarian ticket. Unless the RNC pulls their head out of their own asses, I'll do the same in 2020.

I'm voting for Bill Weld in the NH Republican primary. I hope he actually runs on the Libertarian ticket.

I think the time has come for the Libertarians to take more control and start to whittle away at the power held by the 2 big parties.

With the Republicans on a path of self-destruction, I hope the same. Libertarians are often seen as loons, and given some of their leaders in the past, I can see why. If more people vote Libertarian, then stronger, saner candidates will come into the party. I like the Libertarian platform with the exception of their tendency toward isolation and downsizing our military to a border and beach defense force.

IMO he is correct.

Dirt is always being dug up by campaigns, and sources are myriad. That is simply a fact of politics.

If someone comes in volunteering evidence of such dirt, and it is factually established as true, then unless the party receiving it knows it was obtained illegally and it would violate the law to publish it, I believe it is fair game.

As I stated several times during the 2016 election period, when allegations that hacked material publicized by Wikileaks were obtained by a foreign source illegally...what matter the source if the information is true?

This in no way excused the source regarding the commission of a crime, they can be held fully accountable as happened to Chelsea Manning.

However, unlike our Court system, there is no such thing as "fruit of the poisonous tree" when it comes to how the public handles illegally obtained yet true facts presented to us.

We are not required to "unlearn, unhear, and not speak" such things. Nor should we ever be required to outside of a court of law.

Had such information been damaging to the Trump campaign, would his detractors be arguing "Not fair, someone stole it from his server so we can't use this information!"? I don't think so.
So a foreign adversary engaging in a disinformation attack on our election process to get the guy THEY want elected is OK?

Sorry Rudy. It is not. And it is illegal.

The “burden of proof” and intent were what kept Mueller from indicting

I missed it because it isn’t there. Apparently my sarcasm was lost on you.

So pathetic some people still have Hillary stuck in their brains. :2no4: I’m fully aware of the SC’s charter, and it didn’t stop Mueller from including the comment in my signature line.

Your signature line actually goes to the heart of everything.

As was my sarcasm lost on you.

Nobody asked Mueller what Trump did not do. That was not part of his job. For someone as knowledgeable as you concerning the Act's charge, that should be obvious.

Doesn’t matter at this point, since Mueller did make clear that Trump isn’t guilty of obstruction, does it?

It is clear, but that has nothing to do with the fact that Mueller did comment.

Vote for any third party candidate and you guarantee a second Trump Presidency

Not every Trump voter was fond of Trump...most of them couldnt stomach the thought of Hillary Clinton as president. Hell...that includes a good number of democrats including a whole bunch of ignorant twats that bitch about Trump yet still insist THEY didnt even vote for that ****ing hag.

But I can see why you a republican would be upset over Trump. Booming economy...2 Supreme Court Justice picks keeping the picks out of the hands of a piece of **** leftist...ongoing attempts to battle illegal immigration while every other ****ing idiot in this country is doing their best to bring in 78,000 illegal immigrants a month...but republicans are focused on the 'important' stuff...

It is clear, but that has nothing to do with the fact that Mueller did comment.

And again, what Mueller didn't say, or what wasn't required, or what served no interest in the investigation conducted by prosecutors, is useless. If you'd like to have it both ways, you can try. Good luck.

Time will tell if what Mueller included his report will serve a purpose. One thing is for certain currently, he gave the Dems material to work with should they choose.

Good luck.
As I don’t have any skin in the game, I don’t need luck.
