So, after gallman decided to be cowardly and delete the response to his poor attempt at flaming and lock the respective thread for the first time, I expected that a little public exposure would be a deterrent. But incredibly, gallman again repeated the very same action even as observers predicted an unrestrained flame war victory by him. Will this cowardice end, and will we be fortunate enough to have a thread where our buddy gall's brave enough to participate when someone offers a rejoinder to his puny one-liners? :lol: :2wave:

To everyone who bitches about moderators here, catch a clue. The moderators here are, by and large, better than average.

I have been involved in online message and discussion forums since the late 1980s, when computer bulletin boards were the medium (mainly because the Internet was not yet available). I have sysop'd and co-sysop'd and moderated more times than I care to count. I have discussed and debated everything from technology to ISPs to politics. I say this so that folks will understand where I am coming from.

In the heyday of the computer bulletin boards, discussions and messages were exchanged across an amatuer computer network called FidoNet. It was a loosely organized exchange system that allowed members in one bulletin board to debate and discuss with members of another bulletin board--it was an early version of the UseNet newsgroups. With large numbers of participants worldwide, there was a need for some structure, and some moderation, just as there is here. The policy of FidoNet with regards to the conduct of participants is/was summed up as follows:
1) Thou shalt not excessively annoy others.
2) Thou shalt not be too easily annoyed.

2. He's basically admitted that he deleted my response and locked the first thread in question because he's cowardly and can't finish what he starts.
