How exactly is running for the Republican Presidential ticket a mockery of the election process?
The only legitimate purpose of running in an election is to pursue the job.
Ron Paul is not perusing the job.
As ARealConservative put it a few posts ago, Ron Paul is running an 'educational campaign', where everyone shakes hands and agrees that he is not pursuing the office, because he can't win, and everyone openly admits this, but is merely trying to get a message out.
Ron Paul is using the election process as an advertising campaign. That is not what the election process is for.
No, hes not making a mockery of the election process
I'm sure he would accept the job if elected but that doesn't make the presidential campaign more of a joke.
The process is a sham in the first place.
Your saying this does not change the openly admitted fact by Ron Paul supporters that he has no intention of fulfilling the purpose of the election process.
The purpose of the election process isn't to win at all cost.
"White nationalist" is a code word that racists use to seem legitimate. stormfront (NEVER capitalized... they deserve zero respect) is certainly a white supremicist site. It's claims to be white nationalist is a fallacy. Just a bunch of racists trying to con folks that they are not... and those folks are too stupid to realize that we all know it.
Paul will never talk a racist as his VP, so Duke would never be on his ticket.
As far as Israel being behind 9/11, that's nothing but insane conspiracy theory crap spewed and repeated by racists and anti-semites. You really need to stop listening to the moronic garbage that they spew.
IMO the public shouldn't be allowed to vote for President in the first place. That's not a right we have and it was a mistake to start public elections for that office.
The process has become a joke because of people like Ron Paul, Trump, and every celebrity who put their name on the ballot just for fun Steven Colbert.
Actually White Nationalism is a real thing...There are differences between separatist, supremacist and nationalist. You are probably right he won't pick Duke I have heard Duke is running for president himself. Actually Its not anti semitic its the truth. Believe what you want.
The purpose of the election is to win,
Has great ideas and horrible ideas
No
That sums it up so well. Even a broken clock is correct two times a day.
Have heard Ron Paul state some things and I thought he was right on.. But then in the next sentence he loses me. Initially Trump said a few things that made sense then he went totally overboard on the insignificant birth record.
Bullcrap, the presidential elections are controlled by both parties.
During the debates, they get to chose the moderator and the format, which is softball.
You can't blame this on anyone else.
The process is suppose to be about trying to convience the people voting that you are the best person for the job, that your polices are the best for the country. All elections are education campaigns
I blame Ron Paul's actions on Ron Paul. I blame Trump's actions on Trump. I blame the public allowing this circus to exist, on the public.
Ron Paul has support, if he were allowed to debate, as a third party candidate, more people would consider him as an electable candidate.
Whether or not you like it, that is one of the most important things associated with becoming president, the presidential debate.
Ross Perot garners 18% of the vote during the campaign the he was allowed to debate, the next year, he was barred from debating but still qualified for federal election funds.
The presidential elections are gamed in favor of the institutional candidates.
Oh cry me a river., you people advance the same lies every time. No matter how much coverage he was offered, you people keep trying to paint yourselves victims. Well, you are victims, not of the system, but of your cult leader.

I'm not in the cult of Paul.
I support his beliefs but I don't vote.
It is a documented fact that the debates are run by the Presidential Debate Commission, that is just a front group for the 2 parties.
It was founded by the former heads of the DNC and GOP.

Paul was marginalized during the debates in 2008, just like McCain was in 2000.
As he should have been, as he should be now, and his supporters should be thankful for such treatment as being the abused underdog is a core element of the Loosertarian identity.
Not at all, being for small government is
If you don't support libertarian polices, you aren't for small government.
Yes, yes, if I don't support the re-legalization of recreational cocaine and meth, then obviously I support the the nanny police state
Useless.
I blame the voting system more than anything else. FPTP systems produce 2 party systems.
In a sense, yes you do. Do you believe that more people will take those drugs if they are legal?
