Correct. There needs to be more research done to determine if there is a causal relationship between Tylenol and autism. Right now, all we have is some research saying there's a correlation and some saying there isn't. So more research needs to be done. Why would anyone be against researching it more?

There's no research anywhere that indicates a causal link between Tylenol use and autism.

However, a link between high fevers and birth defects HAS been established.

So, tell me, why on earth would you ever advise that a pregnant woman with a high fever avoid Tylenol (as you did in Post #1,246)?

There are several studies which show no to minimal correlation depending on how well variables are isolated.

You can research all you want. But the studies have already bore out. The more rigorous the study and the better variable isolation there is, the smaller the apparent correlation is.

There's one study that posits a possible association....that's it, so far as I know.

In the meantime, high fevers during pregnancy are associated with birth defects.

Why on earth would you (or anyone) want a pregnant woman with a high fever to forego taking Tylenol?
