On immigration, his strongest area of support, 45% of respondents approved of Trump's performance but 46% disapproved.

Despite the non-quantitative OP article title of this newly released poll, two data points inside the body of the article jumped-out at me - and I presented them as excerpts above.

1] The overwhelming majority of Americans - by far - want Trump to obey our court orders.

2] Trump is upside-down on Immigration for the first time I recall during his term.
--

83% of Americans, including (surprising to me) 73% of Republicans, insist Trump should obey court orders.

And Trump is upside-down on Immigration! He's been going upside down on pretty much everything else, but now he seems to have slipped on his Holy Grail Issue.

I didn't see a party-break-out on I Immigration, but given the strong entrenched polarity between the two established parties - my suspicion is the substantive movement we're seeing may be occurring amongst Indies. Other recent polls seem to be showing substantive Indie movement on other issues (particularly Economy, Inflation, Tariffs).

I also must point-out Trump's Immigration numbers in this poll are technically within the margin-of-error (+/- 2%). So while Trump numerically is underwater, he statistically is in a draw. Regardless, that's a significant change from his previous strength on this matter.

One implication of these poll results - not a good one - is that 25% of people who identify as Republican believe that Trump should not obey court orders he does not agree with. We should consider this a sobering reality: a quarter of them are essentially saying that the Constitution is no longer a guiding document for them.

What's with the sudden interest in Presidential approval polls among those on the left? :sneaky:
When the left saw Bidens worse polling numbers, they immediately called on him to change course. Oh wait....

It's striking how just a mere year ago, @Taylor was so dang interested in Presidential approval polls!

Yes. If anything, it made things worse...

Biden's approval rating currently stands at 37.4 percent, the lowest since he recorded an average of 37.6 percent in December 2023, according to poll aggregator FiveThirtyEight's national average calculations.

Biden's disapproval rating is at 56.5 percent, giving the president a net disapproval score of 19.2 points—both of which are record markers of disapproval for the president.

The fatso tRump will not obey court orders as long as it comes up with stupid excuses and it thinks that it's in charge or that there no others to equal its intellect (nyuk, nyuk!). If you want to find out what it will do next, read of Adolph Hitler's biographical history and mein kampf and you will see, point by point, where it will go and do next. GET IT OUT AND GONE!...and hopefully the foul smell will leave with it!

The only people who care about those polls are the people who just lost the last election. 🥱

Remind us who actually ended up running for president once polling numbers tanked for Biden?
:)
LOL. He was forced out of the race and you libs supported him throughout his presidency and would have voted for him again despite his horrible poll numbers and his mental decline.

Isnt that the same polling organization who had Harris leading in every single poll they took since she announced?

No idea.

But this is the first poll I've seen with Trump underwater on Immigration, and apparently there's another recent poll showing the same thing.

Given all the fast moving news - particularly with the El Salvadorian (Due Process) & Floridian stories (Citizen Detention) - we may want to keep an eye on this.

Trump losing both the Economy & now possibly Immigration would be big. They were supposedly Trump's Crown Jewels, his raison d'etre.

...and why was that?
:)

As for his mental decline, he managed to not tank the stock and bond markets in spite of it so I'm not sure whether having an idiot is better.

Well folks, that didn't take long................

Out come a couple of negative polls and here we go, gotta make it about Harris, Biden and "the left." Sheesh.

Thats great, but polls dont matter. Maybe a year from now they might but right now, they dont.
