Retired Army general declares Musk a ‘national security risk’ in brutal NYT op-ed

I have been saying this for ages.

Musk is a national security risk.

Elon Musk has been branded a “national security risk” by a former U.S. army general, who cited his concerns over the tech billionaire’s close ties with the Chinese government.

Apparently, Musk is also in bed with the Chinese.

Much of our industry is tied in with the Chinese government.

Seems a bit strange to worry about Elon Musk but not Disney or the NBA or tiktok.

Or not worry about all the other US owned businesses operating in China. Oh, but Elon Musk. 😏

Let's also not forget to mention...

KFC (market share: 40%)
General Motors (market share: 12.8%)
Microsoft (market share: 99.3% in PC operating systems)
Boeing (market share: 52% in commercial aircrafts)
Starwood Hotels (acquired by Chinese company for $14.3 billion)

How many of these companies bought themselves a president?

I bet you would.
I'm talking about your magic wand that makes people go away, Elon Musk as you see it happening which is a joke.

I'm talking about the magic wand you pulled out of the air that had Trump telling Musk to just go away once Trump takes the oath of office again just as he did on Jan. 20th 2017 then wiped his ass with it. This time will be a repeat performance of Trump taking the oath on Jan. 20th 2025 then wiping his ass with it yet again.

Then sell the tissue to the MAGA highest bidder. Opening bid might be $100,000.

That is if Your Guy Trump bothers to take the oath this time. Traitor than he is.

What LTG retired Honore has done is to break the post election radio silence by the retired top military brass. This is significant. It's a red flag to Trump who loves Russia but who has presented himself as hating the Chinese and as being out to cripple 'em. If Trump is going to kiss up to Putin while looking the other way about the CCP and Musk, this would ring bells against it in the Pentagon.

I think the only reason they're focusing on Musk and nothing else is because his connection with Trump.

Alas there was a pause in MAGA posts for a brief time just now.

Must have sounded assembly....or the

Cause suddenly there's some new ones that rode in.

Honore' is a political hack. His opinions are meaningless.
What has General Honore done that makes you believe he is a "political hack"? Be specific and provide details.

This reads like so much of the sour grapes drivel that pollutes this place.

Whatever, bud. Don't care.

...Mr. Musk’s relationship with China’s leaders could prove a problem for America’s national security given that SpaceX has a near monopoly on the United States’ rocket launches. The United States is in an intense space race with China. In a May interview, Maj. Gen. Gregory J. Gagnon, the deputy chief of space operations for intelligence at the U.S. Space Force, said that there has never been a buildup comparable to what the Chinese are attempting in space — not even during World War II — and that “an adversary arming this fast is profoundly concerning.” The last thing the United States needs is for China to potentially have an easier way of obtaining classified intelligence and national security information.

Mr. Musk already has a history of pleasing the Chinese Communist Party.
He heaped praise on Mr. Xi to commemorate the party’s 100th anniversary. In 2022, earning thanks from Chinese officials, he went to bat for the party by arguing that Taiwan should become a special administrative region of China....

It’s funny that you seem to think that just because you spam this nonsense over and over it some how becomes less nonsense.

Yep, and Hong Kong is a "Special Administrative Region" of the People's Republic of China.

The CCP crushing democracy in Hong Kong set just about all remaining doubters in Taiwan against 'em.

This year the pro Beijing Kuomintang lost the presidency of Taiwan for the third election in a row, since 2016 -- through to 2028 and beyond. The Democratic Progressive Party and Pres. Wm. Lai oppose the CCP fiercely. Elon Musk has now aligned himself with the CCP and the Kuomintang. Musk is an enforcer.

This and much else against Musk is what LTG ret. Honore and the US armed forces are totally against. Because it's plain to see already Musk kisses up to Xi and his CCP.

The post is glib tripe.

Relentlessly unserious.

About the Global Billionaires Boyz Club.

Honore says his “worries” include Musk’s business being “heavily reliant on China. He borrowed at least $1.4 billion from banks controlled by the Chinese government to help build Tesla’s Shanghai gigafactory, which was responsible for more than half of Tesla’s global deliveries in the third quarter of 2024.” The retired general says that is ominous because “China does not tend to give things away. The country’s laws stipulate that the Communist Party can demand intelligence from any company doing business in China, in exchange for participating in the country’s markets.”

It's a red flag to Trump who loves Russia but who has presented himself as hating the Chinese and as being out to cripple 'em. It has done this already as we are seeing right now.
Wow, talk about timing. I just put up a thread that answers this exact kind of hive trash, that is, for non-hive members.

Musk's pandering to Xi and Communist China doesn't bother MAGA?

It’s funny that you seem to think that just because you spam this nonsense over and over it some how becomes less nonsense.
Half of your posts to the threads say it's funny and half your posts to the threads say it's sad. Which is the only semblance of any balance your posts have.

Your every post to every thread every time no matter focuses on the poster.

It could be I'm doing overkill on a certain item of the content I'm posting but I have my conscious reasons too. Indeed, additional posters have joined the thread in progress who likely have not seen the content until now. Other posters such as yourself likely have been reading the thread and felt compelled if not driven beyond restraint to focus on me the poster rather than the substance of my posts. The poster is always your focus. While many libs deserve to be sent to bed without any supper, not every one of 'em does always and about everything.

Are you still active duty?

I don't take unserious posting seriously.

It can be more of a nuisance than anything gainful.

What's clear by the statement of the retired Lt.Gen. Honore is that Musk is really pissing 'em off at the Pentagon to include across the intel community. And that he's running interference for Trump when it comes to the horizontal and globalized world of billionaires. While virtually all of Trump's foreign and defense people he has around him have long knives out for China, Musk has so far at least been untouchable by 'em, to include Rubio who will be SecState and totally hates China.

Another candidate for Trump to put on his "can we execute him" list.

All answered in thread but I'll add a statement concerning your absolute drivel and paranoia.

Libtards just can't wrap their heads around the fact that Musk isn't in POWER unless we're talking about the power he holds over the hivemind. And this 'newfound concern' the hive has about the 'mood' at the Pentagon? Please. Most non-hive members are all for flushing out those warmongering clowns at the Pentagon who are more in love with defense contractors than actual U.S. interests. Real people get this, approve of it, and are practically throwing a party for the day of reckoning. I and the vast majority couldn't give a rat's ass about the 'upper brass' being all huffed up. Get with the program, join the ranks of the sane, and stop acting like the Pentagon's mood swings are the end of the world. Sorry, this is tough love, because I care.

Your links seem to have very little in common with this thread's title and first comment.
This threads title is a direct quote of the links title.
The content matches.

What the hell are you talking about?

So, in your mind, trump's after-the-fact endorsement of musk's positions doesn't reflect musk's power over the incoming POTUS and CinC?

Why doesn't it?

I haven't seen "real people" demanding the firing of military brass. Provide examples: specifics and details.

Also, provide your definition of "real people". And your estimate of how many Americans fall into this category.

Oh right.
Musk who has the ear of the President at all times and has had an entire new department created for him to oversee firing as many public workers as possible has no power?

The guy who will use his position to enrich his own companies such as Space X?
