The American association of biological anthropologists statement on race and racism from 2019 states:

“Race does not provide an accurate representation of human biological variation. It was never accurate in the past, and it remains inaccurate when referencing contemporary human populations. Humans are not divided biologically into distinct continental types or racial genetic clusters... Race is a social construct.”

My closest friend is a transgendered woman. They are the closest thing to family I have in my life. As I age more and more people I have known pass away. I am the last of my line and leave no children. My life is enriched with a true and lasting friendship the likes of which I have not known before. Perhaps it is age and experience, but the more I see of these friends the better a person I become.

What exists is a truth not available in the so called "straight" world.

Very good. Also remember how Trump said it was OK for Putin to invade Ukraine because they spoke the same language. Of course he didn't know what he was talking about since Ukraine has it's own language but most of it's people also speak Russian. This same logic gives Canada the right and moral backing to take this area back.

I had my DNA analyzed a few years ago. I was surprised to find out that I have traces of Asian DNA.

It appears that when the Mongols conquered eastern Europe they left some DNA behind and my Polish ancestors kindly passed it on.

No, my eyes are not slanted and I am blue eyed and blonde.
 
Truth and Sanity is just MAGA code for propaganda and lying . To them lying is just an incredibly useful tool. They chose to have Trump as their leader because he was the world's foremost purveyor of this ability.

I think that their incredible powers of rationalization allow them to pretend and even believe the BS that gets fed to them and that they then repeat ad nauseum. None the less it is still lying and the person who first started the lie knew it was a lie when he put it out there. They just recognize the fertile soil that is MAGA will nurture and grow anything said that supports what they want to believe. And yes think that Trump and most of the MAGA leadership knows they are lying. At least at first. It is amazing however that most psycho liars start believing their own lies further down the rode. They also display an incredible lever of anger and outrage when their lies are disputed or not believed. It is part of the definition of a psychopath or sociopath.
 
So basically Trump does not want our children to learn the truth about racism and slavery in this country.

I just think that guys would have an advantage, and that merely believing that you are female but possessing some of the physical advantages of being male makes it unfair.

American history should emphasize the good parts but also acknowledge the bad so that we can learn to not repeat the mistakes of the past and better appreciate the progress that has been made.

Correct. Chump wants to return this nation to a 1950's style America, where racism was accepted as the societal norm and blacks "knew their place".

8 blacks were lynched in the US 1950-1959.

In the South, prisons could rent black prisoners to nearby farms and plantations, where state laws still allowed the overseer to whip workers that did not satisfy their daily production quota.

Focusing on either the good or the bad while ignoring the other is to distort history.

History has always been a political battleground. Of course there are going to be problems in the way it's presented and by all means, we should try to address those. But this supposed "cure" would be a lot worse than the disease.

I don't think anyone wants to return to America's period of slavery or racism. Today is a far different and better place. There are people who want to - for political reasons - pretend that we're still that racist country or return to it. We're not, and we don't.

Who's pretending that Republicans in this day and age changed school names in Virginia back to the names of Confederates to honor them? That actually happened.

Well, there were three in 1812. Looked like low-hanging fruit, what with Napoleon occupying British attention in Europe 'n all. After the invasions were driven back the whole war happened on American soil. Not how they had it pictured.
