You never worked with a typewriter?

You should have made the sound. Don't know how you type that though.. shhhh..ting! or something.
I was at the tail end of typewriting, now I know people who can hardly write. Met one recently, a senior( 70).
Said never writes anymore..

It's still the same button/key that....(press)
...takes you back to the left, one line down.
Typewriter has a 'carriage' and it returns it left/down.

Older fellow I ran into inquiring about work that I was passing on to GC, I handed him pen and paper for a number.
Flat out said, I'll try, never write anymore. No shakes, though getting up there in age.

If he didn't say his name, I couldn't have told you.

I'm old, I remember getting all excited about my very first electric typewriter.
