ATLANTA – House Republicans have introduced a bill aimed at securing election integrity across the country while also issuing a stark warning to Americans to watch out for possible Democrat deception surrounding the legislation.

Five Republican members of the Committee on House Administration (CHA) held a press conference at the famous Marietta Diner near Atlanta on Monday to officially roll out the American Confidence in Elections (ACE) Act, something they say will give states the tools they need to not only protect the integrity of their elections, but also restore voter confidence in the elections process.

The bill includes a photo ID requirement to cast a federal election ballot, bars non-citizens from voting, requires annual maintenance of voter rolls, and prevents the mailing of unsolicited ballots to rolls that have not been maintained.

ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! YES FEDERAL ELECTIONS

Reading the Bill I found the following interesting:

The Bill is basically bringing out all of MAGA concerns.
- Political speech is protected speech.
- Mail in Ballots
- Voting machines.
- etc.

I would suggest that voters should watch out for GOP deception in what they are trying to do with the Bill..

ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! YES FEDERAL ELECTIONS

Do you need a lesson in civics to understand that elections are a states responsibility?

Why do you hate the constitution?

Why do you lie about the 2020 election?

MAGAs do tend to hate the Constitution and democracy. They proved that on 1/6.

No, going with common sense and the reality that FEDERAL ELECTIONS need the same standards. What you do in your state is irrelevant for local elections
Then we need the same standards across the board in regard to gerrymandering. Without consistency in those standards, elections will never be fair.

That's a good point, maybe we should have federal regulations and oversight on districting as to combat gerrymandering. I'm sure our MAGA friends would be in board.

The bill includes

# a photo ID requirement to cast a federal election ballot

Very good. It's what we have here in Austria. Nobody should vote without a government-issued picture ID.

# bars non-citizens from voting

That is a no-brainer. Only citizens older than 16 (Austria) or 18 (US) should be eligible.

# requires annual maintenance of voter rolls

Here in Austria, everyone gets automatically registered to vote after birth - via civil registration in the town where you (or your parents) live. If you register your residence, you are automatically registered to vote (as a citizen) or if you are an infant. If you move or die, you get de-registered in your town and re-registered in your new town and become eligible to vote there. The voter rolls are constantly maintained and checked by the towns, because they are responsible for civil registration of their inhabitants too. Would be a good model for the US too, which knows no civil municipal registration (most Anglo countries have no civil municipal registration or automatic voter registration).

# and prevents the mailing of unsolicited ballots to rolls that have not been maintained.

Don't know what it means.

I'm curious.

Did you say the same thing when Nancy and her crew rolled out their election bill a couple of years ago?

The thing is I don’t disagree with the idea of a national standard for national elections as a principle.

Also the electoral college should be abolished.

But when we have you guys lying about elections and doing it for the wrong reasons with ill Intent… That is problematic.

But I have a suggestion for you, before worrying about the elections and the lies you want to tell about them, why don’t you worry about finding Obamas real birth certificate first.

ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! YES FEDERAL ELECTIONS

If you want elections to be federalized, I presume you want the drawing of Congressional districts to be Federalized too.

Which is the LAST thing Republicans want.
