Republicans control the White House, the Senate, The House, and the Supreme Court.

The Republicans are in control of all three branches of government, and have a VERY compliant SCOTUS.
You couldn't ask for a better situation for a party to show what they are capable of, or how well they can govern.
Republicans are showing US citizens what they are - and aren't - capable of.
We can all see what they are made of - right now.

The debate is whether or not we are going to continue funding the government for the next seven weeks at the FY25 BIDEN budget levels. The COVID era subsidies expire at the end of the year. Maybe the Democrats should have made them permanent when they had control.

They passed a clean CR to keep the government open at the FY25 Biden budget levels on 19 Sept 2025. The Senate Democrats have been filibustering that CR for 16 days.

The House republicans passed a CR on 19 Sept 2025. The Democrats are refusing to allow a vote in the Senate.

The government is currently shut down.
The Republicans Party is in control of all three branches of government, and have secured a very compliant Supreme Court.
Yet they still can't manage to keep the government functioning.
Why are the House Republicans not doing anything?
