Shokin was seen as a single point of failure clogging up the system and blocking corruption cases. Shokin was corrupt and it was U.S. policy -- and European policy to have him removed.

Turning this history on its head, Trump accused Joe Biden of coercing Ukraine to jettison Shokin in order to protect Hunter. Trump pressured Ukraine’s current president to open an investigation into the Bidens, which would make Trump’s charges seem more credible. Trump surrogates and cult members, like yourself, parrot his attack on Biden. It's a smear that you bought into. Too bad you are so gullible.

Yes, he was. Everyone wanted Shokin removed. The Ukrainian people protested in front of Poroshenko's residence calling for Shokin's firing. The EU and IMF called for Shokin's removal. A bi-partisan Senate caucus called for Shokin's termination. The Ukrainian Parliament voted to remove Shokin. That Joe Biden was sent to Ukraine to convince Poroshenko of this is irrelevant to the reality of what happened.

Ron Johnson called for Shokin's removal. If Obama had sent Johnson instead of Biden, would you be claiming Ron Johnson is a member of the Biden Crime Family?

Shokin was corrupt. What happened is clear to anyone not blinded by partisan politics.

The letter was written to Poroshenko, called for Shokin's removal among other things, was signed by Portman, Johnson and other Republicans, and was sent and received. The letter was on Portman's government website for years.

You can deny reality all you want. Won't change anything. There's a reason this story has been relegated to the internet rumor dust bin - because it's so demonstrably false it's silly.
