Chavez going for that high quality Cuban healthcare. I'm sure libs everywhere are holding vigils over Chavez's plight. Danny Glover must be in a tatter over this.Hugo Chávez extended stay in a Cuban hospital is because he is in critical condition, according to a report in El Nuevo Herald.
The Venezuelan president, who was last seen in public June 9 and last heard from on June 12, on a phone call with Venezuelan state television, was said to have been treated for a pelvic abscess in Cuba.
During the call Chávez said that medical tests showed no sign of any "malignant" illness.
Why do dictators always go to foreign countries for treatment, don't they trust their own doctors?

It is a condundrum, but I think I have the answer.
If he stays in the country, gets sick, and gets stuck in critical condition, it could be a paranoia thing where he feels he can be overthrown and executed in the country, whereas if he falls in and is in critical condition outside the country, if he gets over thrown no one can touch him...
Alot of dictators do this, now I don't know if its the answer, but it makes sense to me

The healthcare in Cuba is better than Venezuela's.

They wont kill him in his own country... they voted for him in greater margins than we have in the US.
I do see that some sort of conspiracy by some military that haven't been purged is possible in some way perhaps but all we can do is speculate really.
the physchology of dictators.
Ah... you actually give credibility to an election like that, you do realise he's a dictator right? He did rig the election you do know that right?
I came up with a theory, its not concrete, its just based on my observations of dictatorships behaviour, the physchology of dictators and an educated guess.

According to the W.H.O. Cuba ranks 39th in healthcare in the world and Venezuela is down at 54th.
We rank 37th if you believe the W.H.O.
Keep in mind they are the ones that saused wide spread panic and over reaction over H1N1 and a threat that was never there.
It also caused vaccine manufacturers to switch production from seasonal flu vaccines to a pandemic vaccine that was for something that was never there of you remember.
The W.H.O. has the top 10 as being:
1 France
2 Italy
3 San Marino
4 Andorra
5 Malta
6 Singapore
7 Spain
8 Oman
9 Austria
10 Japan
I find a few of these very hard to believe.

Yes, I hear it's a conspiracy only conservative Americans have caught onto.

See link here! The two big trends here are the explosive rise of Chile and the decline of Venezuela. Chile's economy has grown almost threefold: 193%. Venezuela's wealth per capita shrank by nearly 7%.
See link here!CARACAS, June 13 (Reuters) - Venezuela set new sanctions on Monday for high electricity consumers as the South American OPEC member nation faces power cuts for a second year.
Very true. In virtually every social/economic index, Venezuela has tumbled into the third world strata.Chavez is the man who has been most instrumental in destroying the lives of productive professionals who made Venezuela the pre-Chavez, modern country (prior to Chavez taking them back to the Stone Age) that it used to be.
