Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-American'

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

or "I don't care if he's green and from another planet, I don't trust him"?

I like to think we can agree to not support illegal aliens for the Presidency.

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

The way to deal with the American Left is to use their tactics against them. Use the strategy of Cloward and Piven, and embrace the tactics of Alinsky. Poison the Leftist well.

The problem with stooping to your opponents' level is that eventually you forget how to stand up straight. Defeating them does the country no good if you become them in the process.

The country I loved is gone. What remains is held captive. Speaking figuratively, taking the American Left over the cliff will kill me and Leftist ideology both. This is an acceptable price to pay. Only then will the hostage be free to be reborn and renewed.

I did not want this struggle to become existential. But the left has made it so. And their world view must be extirpated. Everything else is subordinate to this imperative.

Like what?

Things like "we don't give a **** what color he/she is."?
or "I don't care if he's green and from another planet, I don't trust him"?
or Maxine Waters is a crook and a socialist, Charlie Rangle's corrupt. ?

I already said the guy was a dumbass for saying this, but saying its only democrats as Whovian says
Tunr into? Pretty much started that way. I was simply showing, yet again, that the ONLY ones who ever bring up the Presidents race as a factor in people voting, or, in the case of the Democrat in the OP... NOT voting, for the President... are DEMPOCRATS.

is just plain wrong.

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

The right does not use race as a weapon against the left in the current era. Only the left uses race as a sword. However, the blade has been dulled by overuse. Who cares any more?

The links I posted would dispute that, seeing as some of them were Tea party members, very much 'current'.

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

Barak the Magic Negro didn't start with the GOP, it was from the LA Times. Rush just used that to MOCK the left. Nice try.

AS EVERY CARBON-BASED life form on this planet surely knows, Barack Obama, the junior Democratic senator from Illinois, is running for president. Since making his announcement, there has been no end of commentary about him in all quarters — musing over his charisma and the prospect he offers of being the first African American to be elected to the White House.

But it's clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the "Magic Negro."

The Magic Negro is a figure of postmodern folk culture, coined by snarky 20th century sociologists, to explain a cultural figure who emerged in the wake of Brown vs. Board of Education. "He has no past, he simply appears one day to help the white protagonist," reads the description on Wikipedia Magical negro - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .

It helps if you tell the whole story:
STATEMENT FROM AUDRA SHAY
Dear Friends and Supporters,
Yesterday on Facebook, an unfortunate incident occurred. An individual posted two comments on my Facebook wall, the first comment arguing against big government and the second filled with racially charged comments. I responded supporting the individual’s first post, to continue the fight against big government spending. I was not aware of the racial comments until sometime later, when a third individual brought it to my attention. I immediately deleted the derogatory and outright disgusting comments and subsequently posted a statement on my Facebook Status stating that in no way, shape or form are the comments posted by other individuals a reflection of me or my beliefs as an American, a Veteran, a Mother or a Candidate. I do not, nor would I ever, condone that type of language or behavior.
Unfortunately, my opponents have now spun a web of misconception and untruths, desperately trying to paint me as a racist. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, I have made it part of my Young Republican life to ensure that we did not just focus on outreach, but inclusion. Under my leadership as Chairman of the State of Louisiana’s Young Republicans, we were able to raise $90,000 for a minority outreach media campaign. Also under my leadership as Louisiana Chairman we brought the largest minority delegation to the YRNF Convention in 2007.
It is a disgrace that these types of political attacks are taking place and once again, it proves that my opponents will stoop to the lowest levels to steal this election from the jaws of victory. Our Team is one of honor and integrity. We take this service to heart and will not allow others to tarnish our reputations. If you have any questions or concerns about this matter or any other matters, please email, call or Facebook message me. I’m always available.

Wait, let's get this straight, Mark Williams made racist comments and got the boot, and that's proof the Right uses racism? How about this proves the Right rejects such!

By MICHELLE DeARMOND
The Press-Enterprise
The president of an Inland Republican women's group has resigned after publishing a caricature of Barack Obama on a phony food stamp in her club newsletter.

Diane Fedele, president of the Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated, sent her members a letter this week apologizing for her "poor judgment and lack of insight and sensitivity."

"It is with considerable sadness that I am forced to hasten my departure in this manner," she said in the letter.

Fedele drew the ire of some club members, politicians and readers across the country after she put the illustration in her October newsletter as a way to criticize Obama's statement that he doesn't look like the presidents on other dollar bills.

What this proves is that you are completely dishonest.

No, I'm not the one being dishonest.
The thread started with one example of a democrat being racist. I agreed with the OP - he went way over the top. OP then sarcastically brought in Obama, which I didn't feel was relevant - if this is to turn into a thread about racism with politicians in general, there's more than just democrats doing. Barbbtx expressed doubt that I could find examples of conservatives saying racist things, which I disproved.

The fact that someone apologizes for their comments, or gets booted from the party DOES NOT change the fact that those comments WERE said. If Moran apologizes for what he says, does that make it ok? If the dems expel him from the party, does that mean a liberal never said it? No, it bloody well doesn't.

I wasn't aware of the context of the first one. This is what I found from a quick google search - there's tons more examples (from both! sides).
The second doesn't change anything - he still said it. What it proves is that the official stance of the republican and tea parties is that they do not condone racism. Of course they don't - neither do the democrats! Does this change the fact that there are people within those factions that use racism? No, and that's what this thread is about.
The third is just as valid. She was racist and only apologized after she got called out on it. Doesn't change the fact that she was a racist.

I wasn't being dishonest in the least. If someone makes blanket statements like 'only democrats do it', I will call them out as being hypocrites.
If you can't see that, you're just partisanly blinded.

This is a matter of facts, not opinions. And I doubt there's no common ground, I'm actually quite conservative on some issues. I'm a centrist with libertarian leanings - the only reason I list myself as slightly liberal is that social issues are generally more important to me than fiscal ones.

This issue doesn't conflict with any of my views. I have disgust for everyone who uses racism as a political tool and there's people with all leanings that use it.

You are being very dishonest.

the OP is about is about a sitting Rep. who isn't booed out of his party, kicked out or anything.

You posted a link to that attempts to falsely hammer the Right for the "Barak the Magic Negro" bit, it wasn't, a link about one guy getting kicked out, for being a twonk and another that lies about what happened to Young Republican leader. Here's a hint, she wasn't the one responsible, your link was misleading.

If anything, what this shows is that the left doesn't mind the race card, and the right doesn't tolerate it.

What are you talking about? It's pretty evident no party is going to support racism.

I was responding to people claiming that only democrats use racism. Regardless of how their party interprets it, there are examples of racism on both sides and to deny that is just ignorant.

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

This is one of the most racist comments I've ever heard and it's from liberal Chris Mathews

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

Doesn't really disprove anything I said. He was wrong. Also, he's a pundit, not a politician. Rush also said many racist things, but I'm not including them because he was never endorsed by the GOP or tea party as a representative.

Re: Rep. Moran: Dems Lost Because Many 'Don't Want to Be Governed by an African-Ameri

It's dicks like Moron (Moran) there who validate Congress job approval ratings. That, or he's trying to be another Grayson and get on the evening talking head shows by saying stupid things.

I am more disgusted by the fact that people actually vote for candidates who say stupid things and act like idiots more than I am disturbed by the behavior of the candidates. As long as we keep electing idiots, we are going to be treated idiots by the government.. It's just embarrassing.
