China has total control over what messages can be posted on its social media, so widespread messages are only ones the government endorses. They hide these messages behind a 'language barrier', lying about their behavior to the world, so a group of Chinese dissidents decided to expose what's 'really' being said in China with government support, calling themselves the 'great translation movement'. CNN noticed, talking about the anti-Ukraine messages.
