If we honestly believe that Obama’s proposed reform of health care in America would actually change anything for the better, we would be for it. But we don’t believe it.

What we see is yet another plan to screw up America.

Obama’s “reform” will bankrupt our country. It will again give people who do not work advantages at the expense of those who do work. It will create waiting lists for people to receive care they need or want. How far down the waiting list do you think you and your family will be on that list?

How about the senior citizens, people who worked and paid taxes most of their lives? Will the Obamacare program benefit them at all, or will it simply require the old and ill to be placed on an ice floe and pushed out to sea?

And what about abortion? It doesn’t matter what your personal stance might be on the question of abortion, but do you really want your government subsidizing it? And if some physicians refuse to perform abortions, guess what? They will lose their right to practice medicine.

The entire “reform” is nothing more than another grab for power over the lives of Americans by The Obama, who wants a government that decides what cars we drive, what banking institutions we use, what kinds of houses we buy, when and if we can receive health care and when and if we can expect to live to become old.

Private insurance will vanish under Obama’s grand scheme. Those who have been fortunate enough to have private insurance (by actually paying for it or having it through their employer) understand well that one of the reasons for spiraling health care costs is that those who have insurance are also paying for those who don’t have it whether by laziness, ignorance or other reasons.

And just forget Medicare altogether. When you turn 59 years of age, Obama and his cohorts apparently feel that you will no longer be needed, being such a liability as it is. And should you die prior to drawing your Social Security benefits, that’s even better because all you have paid in during your working life will then go to yet another nonworking blight on decent society.

The proposed “reform” is not what will cure America’s health care system. While we don’t know what will, we are certain that it is not Obamacare.

Those people in Washington who were elected to represent their constituents won’t be affected by the “reform.” They will draw enormous benefits packages until they die at ripe old ages. Do you honestly believe for one moment that Obama or his wife or children or mother-in-law will ever have to wait to have a medical treatment rationed? Of course not!

First it was banks, then auto makers, and now health care. The United States of America is quickly becoming Socialist. What’s next, a government controlled media?

We are thrilled to see some thinking people finally raising hell about this health care reform debacle. We urge other thinking people to join in the cause.

Let Sanford Bishop and Saxby Chambliss know for certain that we DO NOT WANT Obama’s health care reform, and if they vote for it, we will vote them out of office at the next election.

Who is "we"? While not a majority right now, there is a large base who supports a health care bill.

This is a big misunderstanding on the part of American liberals. They think that anyone who does not support their proposal does not want to see any kind of reform at all. This couldn't be further from the truth. I greatly oppose this healthcare bill. Among the things that I would support in reform would be:

  • Being able to get healthcare across state lines.
  • Dismantling the FDA.
  • Ending government support of the AMA (doctor's union).
  • Ending Medicare and Medicaid (only serve to drive up prices).
  • Ending government support of everyone getting health insurance (help reintroduce a price system).
  • Allowing more medical practice (right now we only allow allopathic medicine).
  • Reducing the amount of time medicine patents last (or eliminating medicine patents).

These are just the things that I can think of right now. These would reduce prices by allowing for more competition. The absence of a real price system has allowed prices to drive up faster than technological advances. Our patents on medications lasts far too long and deny people from being able to take medicine that would otherwise save their lives. Basically, the less government intrusion we have in medicine, the more innovation and lower prices we will have.

I phrased that badly, and you caught that quickly. Allow me to rephrase to better convey what I meant.

...there is a large number of people(30ish percent I think currently) who support a democratic/Obama health care reform bill.

So I repeat my question: who is this "we"?

There are a lot of people who are really scared of this bill. They're scared of what it will do to the healthcare industry and what it will do to our standard of living. How much will we have to pay for this?

Yes there are. Do you speak for all of them?

No, I speak for myself. I just know that many people are afraid of the proposal and worry about their futures.

I am one of many who fears this obama healthcare reform. This will be the start of complete destruction for this economy, way of life, and complete quality of our healthcare system.
