Record number of early votes cast in Georgia as election gets underway in battleground state

I wonder how many Dem voters are getting in early in fear that the 'R' state officials will get them removed from the electoral role, or in fear that they may already have been removed?

I just saw the videos of huge numbers of people lined up to early vote in Georgia.

The majority of Democrats said they planned to vote early or absentee. The majority of Republicans plan to wait and vote on election day.

I was worried about that and voted early just in case! I'll check and make sure it's been accepted and no funny business has gone on!

So you are wondering about how paranoid Democratic voters are?

BTW-- isn't a point of early voting that people DON'T have to wait in lines?

More a case of wondering how desperate and immoral the magas are actually!

Not sure what your wait in line comment is meant to mean? Spreading out the time and/or days available for people to vote can only mean that more people will be able to vote. Has to be a good thing doesn't it?

Nah- paranoia

Shrug. I think early voting is silly in general.
To wait in line to vote when you have three weeks to actually vote is also silly.

Not for the party that does best when voters are suppressed.

Hard for some out in those rural counties to imagine standing in line for 3 or 4 hours.

The most recent polls say Trump wins easily. Get ready for Democracy to be over folks. If he doesn't, the states will throw it back to the state houses and declare Trump winner.

The Judges he appoints will make the Spanish inquisition look tame...

It's over already and Trump will be president. The last president.

The only states that don't allow mail in voting are in the backward south.
We've been mailing in our ballets for years, I don't understand why more people don't take advantage of this...

Georgia used to make absentee ballot voting easy. I did this twice and never had a problem with it.

But then Democrats started winning statewide races, and the Repubs said, nuh-uh, we can't have this.

I have voted by mail for years as well.

Don't forget Mr. Sunshine ;) the polls said the same thing before the last federal election in 2020.
It ain't over till it's over...

I have been mail in voting for >30 years. Although I always had liked the excitement of going to the polls....between work and family I was missing my ability to vote. I would have had to leave work early and abandon my patients or later on, left family members with significant health issues alone.'

And across the country we have seen stories in the past of long lines in lower income areas (in cold and raining weather to boot)- and too few polling places to serve so many people. Yet in more affluent areas - plenty.

The GOP is flooding the field, especially in swing states, with crap polls.

To fuel the narrative that there is no way Harris wins.

Don’t fall for the bullshit.
