Though the potential for reality preexisted perception, we actually create our own reality by perceiving it. We don't directly perceive physical reality, we interact with it. For example the old conundrum, "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" The answer would be, it makes the concussive force in the air capable of creating noise but if no ear hears it, then no sound is perceived. So creatures have changed the very nature of reality by developing a unique feature to interact through hearing as ears. Without the physical senses and brain to interact with reality, we could not perceive it. Self realization is the driving force behind all perception. Without the 'conscious' perception of reality, it simply doesn't exist, at least not in the same way.

The question now is how does reality (universe) exist without being perceived? It has no sight, sound, feeling, smell or taste only the potential energy to create these effects through an avatar. It's like a software program, with the code to make new information, but has yet to be realized without a hard drive.

Biological matter, in the form of cells, evolved senses as a response to natural stimuli. The senses developed a nerve center (brain) in order to process this information to survive and adapt. The brain evolved enough to become aware of self and differentiate between its surroundings. The process of biochemical cellular life to become more animated through complexity and evolution has taken hundreds of millions of years. Mammals, animals, insects etc are made up of minerals, water and electric-chemical reactions but is this all we are? Are we merely biological computers, running around on a water covered rock, hurtling through space, orbiting a nuclear ball of heated energy that only exist for a small amount of time? In the simplest terms this is an accurate statement but I'd like to hope something more magical is actually occurring.

If you think about the computations of the square root of Pi or the endless combinations of computer code, zeros and ones, it's not hard to discern that the universe has unlimited characteristics. The universe appears to exist as an endless energy expanding from a dimensionless source, which institutes the parameters, by which it can have dimensions using a measure of spatial extent, especially width, height and length.

Through perception from senses, creatures are able to interact with their environment, therefore through this symbiotic relationship with limitless energy that which had no dimension to be perceived, now comes into recognition. You cannot separate humans and animals from their connected existence to the universe as a whole. We evolved from inanimate material to become self aware as part of our environment, which is a form of existentialism.

It's similar with quantum mechanics as Schrodinger's cat paradox or a particle wave function collapse that the universe is affected or possibly brought into focus by the act of being observed or perceived. The interaction of a creature sensing a vast array of information, through the limited senses, acts as a conscious focal point to give an otherwise unbounded dimension a point in space and time to coordinate and center itself. A way of separating and forming the boundaries between the endless blurry potential into finite definition. Sort of the way the eye refracts light to a focal point on the retina, where the optic nerve transforms the information to a viewable picture in the brain.

Here's a thought experiment that ideas preexisted the physical universe. Before humans ever create anything, an invention exists as only a mental image of electrical impulses, then someone crafts and transforms it from preexisting material into a functional object to serve a purpose. This is an example of how nature has evolved humans from particles of once existing star dust. There is no necessity for an ecosystem on a planet, other than to make animated life forms. It's the animation of bodies that gives them the ability to perceive themselves. Animation is actually the life form in a higher energy output mode and increased state of alertness, functioning on a more complex level.

If consciousness is a result of a higher and more complex energy that results in perception, then the universe might be generating the physical phenomenon from an unseen dimension in order to realize its potential. Thoughts, ideas and imagination appear to have their origin in biological matter, though possibly at some point of complexity and electrical energy output the brain may be tapping into an unseen quantum field of conscious energy that permeates all of nature. Sort of like how the universal Higgs field gives particles their mass through the Higgs boson. The human brain operates as electrical impulses firing across waves of neurons. Electrical signals between neurons generate electric fields that radiate out of brain tissue as electrical waves. Brainwaves as tiny impulses constantly race among billions of interconnected neurons, generating an electric field that surrounds the brain like an invisible cloud.

That would make the mind more than the sum of its parts, when its interacting with the interconnected energy of nature through the conscious senses. If this is true, then the brain is a biological quantum computer that shares part of its core function with a universal source. We physically activate and connect to the universal program or quantum field of consciousness at a certain level of mental alertness. Which also makes us all connected to each other through the same energy field. This force is never completely separated from us. 'I think, therefore I am' is true, though there's a temporal illusion of being completely separated from the system and each other, which isn't completely true. Layers of energy in between us creates the multifaceted dimension of physical reality and the illusion of separateness and being divided.

The way we know that energy, like particles, can be connected by a dimensionless field is that in quantum physics, entangled particles remain connected so that actions performed on one affect the other, even when separated by great distances. This unseen dimension can allow an energy strand to leap through the space/time continuum unaffected, because it's not directly restrained by its principles.

Similar to the event horizon of a Blackhole, where the laws of physics begin to breakdown due to the immense force of gravity at its center. There's a one-dimensional point which contains infinite mass in an infinitely small space, where gravity becomes infinite and space-time curves infinitely. In theory, if an object approaches a singularity at the center it becomes stretched out before losing all dimension and disappearing.

The universe is basically an interconnected mass of continuously moving energy and matter. But since matter is merely a denser form of energy in a different state, it can be said that everything is made of energy. So all energy and particles are still connected and incapable of being destroyed, only transmuted, with the one constant being change. The continuous expansion of space and time keeps the simulation of reality and its laws at this constant.

The most common pondering is probably, where did this infinite dimensionless energy source come from, especially since the universe's most observable feature is 'cause and effect.' One could hypothesize that the original energy, of which the physical universe is an extension, is a singularity of pure consciousness and self awareness incarnate. Without form or dimension, basically unobservable by any outside force, yet still self existent without beginning or end. As an indeterminable and static source it transformed pure thought into physical energy by delineating space and time, then inflating it into four dimensions, with the outward expansion of intermixed super heated gaseous plasma, which eventually turned into particles. Physicists now say that the singularity that created the Big Bang came from nothing, which is what I predicted that an infinite dimensionless energy would appear as.

Only consciousness is actually real and unchanging, while physical existence is an extension of our perception as a continuously moving simulation. The universe, through nature, is a movie being played and our minds are the screen on which it's viewed.

It's daunting to try and get our heads around an unfathomable concept of a conscious energy that basically exists everywhere, is centered nowhere, and because of that cannot be fully realized. It would for all intensive purposes, actually, not exist in its entirety in any perceivable form. That which has no boundaries would, literally, be indefinable by expression alone.

An infinite and formless force of consciousness just is, and exists indefinitely, without time and its limiting factors. Time running in one direction is part of the illusion of our reality. To a timeless and infinite consciousness, all of existence would appear as one event with details, rather than a string of events. There would be no yesterday or tomorrow, only the infinite Now.

Once the universe in its nature has evolved creatures capable of interacting with it through perception, it takes on its current form and brings reality into focus. Sort of like an energy loop, through which we are the portals. Because the source of all energy is endless in capacity and potential, it cannot be directly experienced all at once, only interacted with in limited quantities. As immense and complicated as the universe is to us, we're probably at the minimalist level necessary to produce a conscious reflection of an infinite energy.

The limitations of our physical bodies serve as temporary shells for the endless to generate more individual and unique forms of its own conscious image. Otherwords, we're all pieces within an immense puzzle made to fit together. Approximately, 108 billion people have existed on earth, since the advent of Modern homo sapiens around 50,000 B.C. I don't believe there's a necessary number to be hit, only that a certain amount can be physically supported on earth with its finite amount of resources. We will not achieve the technology to escape our solar system, to colonize other earth like planets, before the limited resources start to have a dramatic impact on the ecosystem and sustaining life. Many scientists would conclude that we may be reaching that limited number soon, with the strains of over population beginning to be felt on the social, financial and ecosystem.

We will never experience all of nature in our short lifetimes or measure all the information within it's structure. Like a drop of water from an endless ocean, humans share the same primal qualities with dimensionless energy as consciousness. And for now, we are also limited by space, time and the other physical aspects of nature's physical laws. As the universal consciousness vicariously experiences existence in limited avatars, it takes on new personalities as unique individuals. That which was One being has now become a people of self aware beings, all connected by the same energy source.

And life was never meant to be about good vs evil, that's only an elementary way of teaching others how to identify the difference of being happy and prosperous from ways of being unsuccessful and miserable. One way is wise, peaceful and smart and the other basically selfish, stupid and destructive. But each of us must learn and realize this at our own level, time and method, which is part of what makes us each unique. We're not imperfect because of our errors in gaining experience, it's how we grow and try to understand life. I told my father before he passed how sorry I was for making so many bad choices and causing him grief and he said, "I don't, because you wouldn't have become the man you are." Nobody is the sum total of their errors alone and if we get better and unique from them, then they served a purpose. It takes a lifetime of making mistakes and slowly losing it all to appreciate what we were given so freely, without cost, in our youth.

Before humans ever evolved higher thought processes, we were acting on almost pure instincts and emotional energy, much like animals. Think of the mind as a rocket, where 'thought' is the guidance system but 'emotion' is the fuel. Our whole reason for thinking is based on our instinct to survive and thrive. Emotion or instincts preexisted even basic reasoning and are preeminent in importance to our existence. We use our brains thought processes to basically satisfy our desires and ego's. Though the emotions are still part of the brain and inseparable from the mind as a whole. Not to digress into a Freudian monologue but even the ability to love is grounded in emotion. The real trick is to let our hearts guide our brains and to allow our rational thought processes to put boundaries and balances on the boundless emotions. Thoughts and ideas may be unlimited also but their purpose is to control reality, while our desire to live is to push it.

I would imagine everyone wonders why this life couldn't have been easier? Because this was the particular process that the supreme consciousness came up with and if it were easier, we most likely wouldn't have the ability to appreciate life or what comes next. Bad things have to exist for awhile, so that we can have some concept of what to compare a better life too.

In summation, love requires sacrifice, always. The supreme conscious energy had to cease occupying its perfect unified non-form alone to make space for us and inhabit it. Once the imperfect and temporal physical creation has served its purpose, much like our own bodies, it could potentially be remade into something more permanent. For now "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances."

What comes next, if anything, is a mystery.

Reality is very fluid.

Robots were once thought to have been a fantasy. now they are a reality.

We all make our own reality as we so choose.

We all see only what we want to see and dismiss everything else.

I doesn't matter if they are a scientist or religious.

A scientist will only see science.

A religious person will only see religion.

A word just describe something. Before language, there was conscious thought. Before conscious thought, was before perception. Don't wanna speak for the OP, but that's what I gather from his post.

Reality is this very moment, there's nothing else. Everything else is an illusion or a narrative of mind.

Delineating illusion vs. real is just mind talking. Everything is empty of substance, regardless of what you choose to call it.

There is only present awareness as one continuous thing. Everything overlaying it is just a narrative, including narratives about the past or future, or fantasies. The myth of self is part of this.

If you meditate and silence the extraneous dialogue, all that remains is total stillness/emptiness. Anything you *think* is happening arises and dissolves into that, on a moment to moment basis. We live in a continuous, unseparated holographic universe.

There is nothing beyond this present moment. This is as good as it gets.

DO you think there is a point or purpose of existence?
 
A very thought proving piece, and I enjoyed reading it. I even have some views of my own, which may interest.

1. When considering reality, I am reminded of movie "Matrix", and any who watched that movie may understand why I mentioned it.

2. Pi is an interesting one, as it is a nonterminating, nonrepeating sequence of digits. However, pi - pi = 0, and pi / pi = 1.

3. The laws of physics tells us that energy cannot be destroyed, but it can be transformed from one type of energy into another. If this is true, and considering that even the human body is comprised of energy, it is rational to consider that all living things are immortal. The body, being a material shell, may die and cease to be, but the energy that occupied that shell lives on.
