It occured to me that the likes of Mohamed and Joseph Smith were spared from having the one thing that they demanded of their followers - faith.

Mohamed had no proof of divine revelation to offer those to whom he preached. He had only his word, as Allah did not give him the power to perform miracles, nor did He allow anyone else to see Gabriel. First the pagans, then eventually the Jews and Christians, were expected to abandon the beliefs of their ancestors based solely on Mohamed's assurance that he was receiving "signs" from Allah. The glaring irony of this presumption is that Mohamed was the only person in the world not required to have faith. If his claim of divine revelation is to be believed, the miraculous appearance of Gabriel spared him from having to take the blind leap of faith that he expected from the rest of the world. Same with Smith and the golden plates.

I know a huckster when I see one.

Siddhartha Gautama sat down under a Bodhi tree to meditate. The Buddha rose and wandered, preaching, and many millions live by what he taught.
Did the Buddha have faith in his own teachings? Did Mohammed have faith in his own teachings?

Okay.

Did the Buddha have faith in his own teachings?

How would I know?

Did Mohammed have faith in his own teachings?

I guess you didn't understand the OP. He didn't need faith. He either WAS visited by Gabriel and therefore didn't need faith, or it was all a scam.

It occurs to me what happened to all those Serbian “warriors against Islam”.

The war started because a bosnian shot up a Serb wedding

The Serbs deciding to mass murder Bosnian civilians was moronic— to put it mildly—, and the Croats got massively lucky they weren’t held to the same standards

Off topic. Please stop.

The croats were supported by Germany so of course they got off.

Those Serbs decided to take up arms against “Islam”… and thousands of dead civilian later they were hauled into court and convicted of the war crimes they committed.

Blind denial can’t change that reality.

Which doesn’t change what the Serbs actually did, funnily enough
It's the balkans. The wars started because croats changed police uniforms to represent ww2 styled ones and the serbs got offended. These people work on different wavelengths

The Serbs went way beyond just fighting the Croats, as the mass murder of Bosnian Muslims shows.

Okay.

You say he didn't need faith. Does that mean he didn't have faith?
You have a ridiculously simplistic understanding of religion. And 'understanding' is being generous.

The core principle of the Protestant Reformation, particularly in Lutheranism and Reformed theology, is justification by faith alone (Latin: sola fide). This doctrine asserts that salvation is received solely through faith in Jesus Christ, not through good works or adherence to religious laws.

Errmmmmm, one doesn't need faith to believe in something that's in the same room with him. Why is that so hard for you to get?

To be fair there are eye witness testimonies of the plates. Could they have been lying? It's a possibility.
