RAND PAUL: John Bolton is 'totally unfit' for secretary of state

Rand Paul is an isolationist, John Bolton is more pragmatic.

Now that's a word I've never seen used to describe Bolton, and I'm into foreign affairs.

He's still jonesing for war with Iran.

My grandkids handle "NO better than the democrats have.

The Republican freakout after Obama won was like nothing I've ever seen, but I guess the reason I come here is for goofball irony.

I don't know the answer to this, but I wonder when was the last President we had that wasn't bombing the crap out of someone. Did Carter bomb a bunch of folk?

No. He has often bragged about the fact that he never did. He did send a military operation to rescue the hostages the Iranians took when they overran our embassy and other installations and I don't know if shots were fired then, but the mission failed miserably and was a real embarrassment to the Administration. And then Carter did pretty much nothing and we endured the snickers of those in the Middle East at how weak and feckless we were for 444 days. I don't know if it was because they were tired of their hostages or whether they really were afraid of Ronald Reagan that they started releasing the hostages between the day he was elected and his inauguration--one I think they held into July that year.

I can forgive a lot, but not loading the cabinet with a bunch of war hawks and then getting us involved in another Iraq or Vietnam style war. Been there, done that, don't want to go back.

Well it has been a long time since we have elected a President as anti-war as Trump is. So I'm pretty sure those 'war hawks' you're worrying about will follow his lead. I can't imagine Donald Trump being anybody's lackey. He's going to do things his way.

Let's hope you're right on both counts.

Turn on the Television and see what your generation of liberals is fostering, and cheering on.

Protests were inevitable. If Hillary had won, there would have been more violence...

Speaking of paying attention, one of the reasons for those protests is the surge in overt racism. Which is something I predicted...

Yesterday, a mayor in Maine that had opposed Somali immigration promised to go after the racists with everything he has. He's been paying attention, and doesn't like the inevitable escalation of racists, they're starting to get violent.

Obama got elected twice ..........and no violence. Do you just make things up as you go?

At this point and time.......what difference does it really make?

Her words, not mine. ;)

Her extreme humiliation at the hands of the uneducated voters was poetic justice for me, and I hope the bitch suffers miserably for years to come.

I am happy that she lost, but to keep things in perspective, her humiliation was not at the hands of the voters so much as it was at the hands of the Electoral College.

The Right is predictable, you get these waves that always wind up violent. This has been going on for centuries.

If the FBI doesn't jump on it, there will be a lot of violence, like the 80s.

Donald Trump: Racist Threats Increase After Election

How many are true?

Do you know this? Were they confirmed?

I am quite sure some are true, but there are many loons out there just looking to play the victim.

The Tea Party Republicans have been very peaceful overall.

to keep things in perspective, outside of Los Angeles County and New York City, she got absolutely crushed by voters. and the Electoral College.

I suppose that depends upon who is telling the story, eh?

Apparently you are not paying attention to what is going on now then.

Really. Do you have anything to back up that prediction of yours. Maybe links to conservatives or republicans rioting and protesting like the losers are now.

In other words yes you just make crap up.

You should take your political blinders off for a minute or two and see reality.

not really. the entertainment industry fawns over her no doubt. you take out the pockets of the country most effected by that fawning industy, and you was absolutely crushed by both the EC, and the voters.

I'm neutral on the question, but quite a few different sources are claiming that in terms of just the popular vote, Hillary pulled in more than a million more than Donald.

Now it's entirely possible that the election was indeed rigged, as Trump predicted it would be. If so, the question would be which side did the rigging? Maybe the numbers of the popular vote are inflated in Hillary's favor. I can only speculate, but if it is true that she had more votes than he, it would not be the first time that this has happened.

I'm really happy she lost, but there is some measure of uncertainty here is my only point. Statements claiming certainty would be somehow misleading.

As it stands right now, she got about 700k more votes then Donald Trump when you add up all 50 states

In Los Angeles County - she got 1.2 million more votes.

You see where I am going with this? The entertainment industry might have a large sway in how voters in LA vote, but the rest of the country voted for the other guy more.

Hardly.

“We’ve seen a great deal of really troubling stuff in the last week, a spike in harassment, a spike in vandalism, physical assaults. Something is happening that was not happening before,” Jonathan Greenblatt, the national director of the Anti-Defamation League, said. “We’ve been inundated with reports; it’s really crazy out there.”

Post-election spate of hate crimes worse than post-9/11, experts say

Somebody clearly has blinders, ain't me.

When your entire case revolves around the Southern Poverty Law Center (a group whose entire relevance needs increasing amounts of hate crimes) and there quite questionable practices of determining the numbers of hate crimes being committed sorry if I don't put to much stock in to it. And when you compare that to the rioting and other nonsense being committed by those whose side lost, you really don't have much of a case.

It doesn't.

I knew you were going to try that silliness, so the first link has a quote from ADL.

This has even been in the news in Maine.

Try harder, it might be amusing.

Losing to irrational, slow, uneducated voters is much less humiliating than losing to rational, educated, thoughtful voters.

Wow, see how fast the left has gotten to be racist and misogynistic?
