"RADARS OF THE LOST ARK" (1 Viewer)

That amount of water does not exist, so the great flood is impossible. Sheesh.

but God...

Yes, there are many famous and impactful quotes that start with "But God,
" primarily found in the Bible, where this phrase introduces moments of divine intervention, hope, and reversal of dire circumstances. Here are some notable examples:
  • Genesis 50:20: "But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."
  • Matthew 19:26: "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
  • Psalm 73:26: "My flesh and my heart may fail: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever."
  • Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
  • Acts 7:9: "But God was with him," referring to Joseph being rescued from his troubles.

These "But God" statements emphasize God's faithfulness, power, and grace in changing situations that seem hopeless or impossible

The phrase is often described as one of the Bible's most powerful words, signaling a turning point where human limitation meets divine possibility and intervention
It encapsulates the idea that no matter the circumstance, God holds the final word and can redeem and transform any situation

In summary, "But God" is a famous and recurring biblical phrase that introduces hope and divine action amid adversity.

Oh God I’m desperate
Down on my knees
Send help from Heaven
Cuz that’s what I need
Redeem this wreckage
Restore my peace
I’m not asking I’m begging
Lord come through for me

Not only that, neither the geological or paleontological records support it either. Even shipwright engineering does not support it. The whole story is a fabrication based on older myths which is completely unsupported and even refuted by science.

but God...

if God said he put all the Animals in a Row Boat and it sailed thru the storm i would believe it.

because he is God

actually the Records and Science do support The Flood....

the answers are in Genesis.....

Global Evidences of the Genesis Flood

The earth is scarred with evidence of the worldwide flood in Genesis.
Geologic Evidences for the Genesis Flood

This is a series of articles explaining the evidences from geology for the Genesis Flood.
Worldwide Flood, Worldwide Evidence

If there really was a catastrophic global Flood as described in Genesis, there should be global evidence left behind. How well does this match up with reality?

This research is most recent.
They're saying they've used radar scans on this most recent claim.

It's been decades since that alleged debunking from your source.
I don't think they could detect what's underneath the mound.

This is old news. Radar scans have been used before. It’d just some sort of natural phenomenon. For one thing, there is no actual Noah’s Ark to find because it was a mythical story. It’s a shame that so many people are being duped by this claim of “finding” that which never was.

That reminds me of the famous "face on Mars" image. Something there that isn't really there.

IMO Christians should focus on the New Testament and view the Old Testament as highly mythical and beyond their ability to properly understand. Just one example: Methuselah was 969 years old……with no commentary about how unusual that was….leaving me to believe that there were innumerable people that were 700+ years old. Should not there be mention of huge metropolitan areas that would dwarf our present world metropolitans ? And if so these huge cities should have left some trace of their existence. The insistence on literal understanding is a hindrance in defending or promoting one’s faith. One must view the literal as a trap that bogs you down and prevents you from focusing on the spiritual…….God is spirit and will not be found in some exclusive mansion…..

Think what prevents you from seeing the world around you and keeps you from appreciating and being grateful for it. Is religion necessary for adapting this approach and does it lead to it ? A quote from Michael Lipton: “Some of those who exist most happily and intensely are atheist, perhaps because they have the courage to face life without imaginary supports.”

The search for the remains of Noah's Ark, may be over!

Noah’s Ark site’s ‘fully preserved’ secrets discovered in radar scans: ‘Not what you’d expect to see’

Call it Radars of the Lost Ark.

American researchers claim to have cracked one of the Bible’s enduring mysteries — after using radar technology to map the possible remains of Noah’s Ark.

“It is exactly what you’d expect to find if this were a man-made boat, consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah’s Ark,” Andrew Jones, an independent researcher, told the Christian Broadcasting Network,
while revealing the results of his multi-year project.

The exact spot is the Durupinar site, a 538-foot-long boat-shaped mound — with the same Book of Genesis-described dimensions as the ark.

While the idea that this area houses the legendary life-raft — an object central to Christianity, Judaism and Islam — is a topic of dispute, recent scans appear to indicate that it could be the case.

Jones used ground-penetrating radar to detect what appeared to be a 13-foot tunnel traversing the center of the formation, the Daily Mail reported.

These same scans captured a trifecta of subterranean layers that were alleged dead ringers for the Bible’s description of the boat’s three decks — in other words, it was literally “ship-shape.”

The Book of Genesis 6:16 states: “Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks.”

Meanwhile, new analysis of the radar data allegedly revealed “central and side corridors or hallways running through the boat.”

Given the age of the alleged vessel, Jones said he doesn’t expect to find anything “fully preserved,” claiming that the remains constitute a “chemical imprint, pieces of wood and in the ground, the shape of a hall.”

Also uncovered were angular structures situated 20 feet beneath the surface that the team surmises could be quarters beneath a deck-like surface — making this potentially more than just a geological formation as many scientists have posited.

“This is not what you’d expect to see if the site were simply a solid block of rock or the result of random mudflow debris,” said Jones, who felt it instead matched the Biblical specifications of Noah’s Ark.

LOL...

How many times and locations have they found the Arc now?

I believe I saw those same photos over 20 years ago.

That is why people have faith in so many lies and deceptions.

Another desperate thread by a Christian of such weak faith that they run to science to attempt to “prove” their faith, thus demonstrating that their faith so weak and uncertain it is in dire need of propping up by science. Science doesn’t support any religions or religious beliefs and it isn’t what it discovers. Nor does any scientific evidence support any mythical religious stories that include a god orchestrating any human activity.

Religious faith can lead people to join cults and follow cult leaders without question. This faith gives them comfort. Seeking comfort is not good if it leads to such things.

and faith in Jesus leads to heaven, and Joy in this life.

what do you have Dave?

as usual, atheists have Zero: no hope, no heaven, not even a Prayer.

0001_03.gif...they look forward to this; but are unaware of the next frame of Cartoons.

may wanna get Faith instead.

I have a rational grasp on reality. I don’t need false comfort or hope. I have realistic ones, not pipe dreams based on promises made by imaginary beings. I have the only thing we all have. We have this life and what it offers to us and the attempt to make the best of it. That is all we know and all we can do anything with.

Get faith or else? Not a good sales pitch. Threats of a bad things to come in a non existent after life are weak tea. Not worked at all about it. I scoff and laugh at it. Save it for the naïve and easily frightened.

Some folks just couldn't help it. You'd recognize the ones I mean by their answers.

But really..............no sense freaking out.

Gee. It's not even confirmed yet that it's the Noah's Ark.

It's a possibility. That's all.

For those who are so into science - let science do its work.
Don't get ahead of science. Duh.

Stay calm.

In the meantime.........here. This might help.

I thought the ark was found in a melting glacier?

Has Noah’s Ark Been Found?

View attachment 67570088

There were some speculative discoveries over the years. I remember reading some.

I never heard of that one. I'll read it.

Read the first few lines. SPECULATIVE!
Lol, they don't know if it's a building or a ship.
It's the location on which it rest, that made them think of Noah's Ark.

Eastman’s study, “Revelation of an Ancient Structure on Mount Ararat,” documents the structure’s gradual exposure due to glacial retreat over several years.
Satellite images from 2015 and 2020 show the structure emerging as glaciers receded during warmer summers.

“The rapid melting of glaciers due to climate change is revealing treasures hidden for centuries,” Eastman explains.

“This structure, whether a ship or an ancient building, has been encased in ice for centuries and is only now visible to us.”

The structure’s appearance on Mount Ararat, which has long been associated with Noah’s Ark, raises intriguing questions.
While Eastman cautions that further study is needed, he believes it is possible that the structure could be connected to ancient shipbuilding techniques or other civilizations that once thrived in the region.

“Whether or not this is Noah’s Ark, the structure holds immense cultural and historical significance. Further exploration could unlock important insights about the ancient civilizations that lived here,” Eastman notes.

Of course the water needed exists.
They're still here!

It's been written in the BIBLE all these time!
AND YET.....................ONLY RECENTLY DISCOVERED and CONFIRMED BY SCIENCE!

Genesis 11
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month,

on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens were opened.

Scientists discover an ocean below the Earth's surface

Scientists have discovered an ocean about 700 kilometres below the Earth's surface. It is triple the size of all the oceans on the Earth's surface combined.

Scientists Just Discovered Fresh Water Under the Ocean, and It’s HUGE

Yo. There's a whole lot of water UNDER THE OCEAN FLOOR!
That's the water that spewed out during the time of Noah.
The "fountains" of the great deep that burst forth!

continuation.

The huge size of the reservoir throws new light on the origin of Earth’s water.
Some geologists think water arrived in comets as they struck the planet, but the new discovery supports an alternative idea that
the oceans gradually oozed out of the interior of the early Earth.

“It’s good evidence
the Earth’s water came from within,” says Steven Jacobsen of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. The hidden water could also act as a buffer for the oceans on the surface, explaining why they have stayed the same size for millions of years.

If it had oozed out before.....................why couldn't it ooze out again?

Especially so, when there's DIVINE INTERVENTION involved?

🤷

Lol - you might want to ask:

Why didn't the water under the earth surface ooze out ever again to cover the earth?

The Bible also explained that: GOD CONTROLLED THE WATER!

AND, He made a covenant with NOAH!

NEVER AGAIN!

We can take that to the bank.

Genesis 9
8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:
9 “I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you
10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth.
11 I establish my covenant with you
: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

Job 38:10-11
And I placed boundaries on it
And set a bolt and doors,
And I said, ‘Thus far you shall come, but no farther;
And here shall your proud waves stop’?

Proverbs 8:29
When He set for the sea its boundary So that the water would not transgress His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth;

Psalm 104:9
You set a boundary that they may not pass over,

So that they will not return to cover the earth.
