Most of the violent rhetoric and actual political violence is coming from the right, not the left.

Still, I don't care. It's wrong no matter who perpetrates it or why. More than that, it is destabilizing and encourages only more retribution in kind.
 
It's very easy. When Democrats are killed it's a good thing, and when MAGAs are killed it's a bad thing. Not very hard to figure out the rules.
 
It is the difference between celebrity and political figure. I believe there are more parasocial relationships with the former than the latter.

They had a huge boost in numbers from J6, which was a violent illegal lies-based attack on the nation's foundation. Now they are not just off the page, they are off the page by miles, and well into fascist cult territory.

Nope, that article doesn’t provide any evidence of “victim blaming” by Mike Lee, but did note his false depiction of the perp as being a “Marxist”.

Certainly Donald Trump wasn't ever upset, and pardoned all the convicted perpetrators.

“This is what happens,” Lee wrote in an X post, “When Marxists don’t get their way.” Attached to the post was a picture of the suspect charged in the shooting, Vance Boelter, evidently wearing a latex face mask.

There was no evidence Boelter is a Marxist. Friends have told local media he was right-leaning. And while Minnesota voters don’t list party affiliation, Boelter was registered as a Republican in Oklahoma in 2004.

It is true that he didn't blame the victim, but his belittling of the murder was so absurdly insensitive it even upset his fellow Republicans.
