"Obama Approval Drops To New Low"...

....why do I get the suspicion we will see that headline again?

Wow. That's some pretty significant drops among some pretty key portions of his base. Will that translate to electoral consequences?

...American voters say 41 - 38 percent that they would vote for a Republican over a Democrat for the U.S. House of Representatives, the first time this year the Democrats come up on the short end of this generic ballot. Independent voters back Republican candidates 41 - 28 percent. Voters also say 47 - 42 percent that they would like to see Republicans gain control of the U.S. Senate and the House. Independent voters go Republican 50 - 35 percent for each...

 so...... probably, yes. :) Worth noting is that Republicans usually outperform the Generic Ballot in actual elections.

So, is it likely that Obama will be able to really dramatically win people back?

President Obama is not honest and trustworthy, American voters say 52 - 44 percent and is not a strong leader, voters say 51 - 47 percent. Voters are divided 48 - 49 percent on whether Obama cares about their needs and problems...

Yeah. Good luck fighting Confirmation Bias with that one.

Democrats should have been smarter .. and a set of balls wouldn't hurt either. (no offense intended to women)

The only good news for democrats is that republicans poll lower than Obama or Obamacare.

Obama's approval ratings stabilize in latest poll
December 10, 2013, 2:54 p.m.

WASHINGTON -- President Obama can’t yet claim to have turned a corner, but he does seem to have stopped a politically damaging slide in public approval for himself and his new healthcare law, new polling data indicate.

After seven months of steady decline, public approval of Obama’s job performance has ticked upward, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. The poll finds 45% of Americans approve of Obama’s work and 49% disapprove.

That’s the highest approval and closest margin since mid-summer, when the president’s ratings first turned negative. Obama’s low point came last month as the administration struggled to fix the HealthCare.gov website and placate Americans who had discovered, contrary to his promise, that their insurance policies were being canceled.

You thought you had 2012 in the bag too (several years out.) let's just wait and see what happens, I'm sure republicans and democrats will screw up before the election.

Clearly these stats indicate democrats are racist. ;)

Or more likely people are tired of covering for this fool.

:prof But higher than their Democrat Congressional Opponents! ;)

That's true. Then we nominated Mitt Romney, who was least-well-positioned to run against Obama in 2012, being both the name behind Romneycare, and wealthy. After that, it was less certain. Then we lost by worse than we thought we would, as Obama was able to replicate the Democrat voter turnout from 2008.

Since then, both Hispanics and the young have begun to turn against the President, however, indicating that a repeat of that trick is.... very unlikely in 2014. we will see :)
