Quid pro quo?

Yeah, you really don't know what that word means.

Typing the word "ironic" doesn't make the criticism of you or your position go away. It doesn't really do anything to help you.

It's just a slightly lazier way of saying "fake news" (apropos of nothing at all), because "ironic" takes fewer keystrokes.

You seem to think that just by showing up here you've achieved something.

Think harder.

Still wildly ironic.

Now with more words.

No. Not what happened. Aid was given without any favor delivered. Getting caught is irrelevant. The phone call became known way after the aid was already given, Try again.

No. tRUMP liar, used a shadow gov't to try to get dirt on a political foe.

Rudy baby, isn't a part of the gov't. He should not be a lead in digging up dirt for his boss, tRUMP.

I believe that is the 44th excuse given for Trump's actions.

Let's see

1) he was joking
2) he is being misunderstood
3) that is not what it means
4) it is a fake truth
5) someone else did it
6) it is not against the law
7) he meant well
8) the Democrats are on a witch hunt
9) it has not been criminally proven in court
10) he did it but it is not impeachable
11) it is okay because no damage occurred
etc.
etc.
etc.

There is an old saying that goes like this: "if it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck".

Indiana poet James Whitcomb Riley (1849–1916) may have coined the phrase when he wrote:

When I see a bird that walks like a duck and swims like a duck and quacks like a duck, I call that bird a duck.

The term was later popularized in the United States by Richard Cunningham Patterson Jr., United States ambassador to Guatemala in 1950 during the Cold War, who used the phrase when he accused the Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán government of being Communist. Patterson explained his reasoning as follows:

Suppose you see a bird walking around in a farm yard. This bird has no label that says 'duck'. But the bird certainly looks like a duck. Also, he goes to the pond and you notice that he swims like a duck. Then he opens his beak and quacks like a duck. Well, by this time you have probably reached the conclusion that the bird is a duck, whether he's wearing a label or not.

Trump supporters have now on over 44 occasions tried to convince the nation that Trump is not a duck. He is a fish, he is a canoe, he is cat, he is a pelican, he is an elephant, he is whatever they can invent to say the Trump is not what he shows himself to be over and over again. They must think we are completely stupid or they themselves are stupid.

"The duck test is a form of abductive reasoning. The test implies that a person can identify an unknown subject by observing that subject's habitual characteristics." Trump has now shown "habitual characteristics" on over 44 occasions. There is no longer any doubt that Trump is a duck, except to those that think that ducks are gods.

Yeah that.Aided and abetted by their media allies.
And they have been pretty much since tRump took office.

So forgive us normals if we don't act like this thing is the most horrific thing a human being has ever done.

"this thing"?

After 44+ things have occurred, it does mean that the duck in the oval office is eating all the fish in the pond and no food will be left for the citizens of the village to fish and eat. One fish is no big thing but all the fish (one at a time) is a huge thing. We need to get the duck off of the pond and send him somewhere where he does not affect the citizens of any village. Artic pole perhaps?

The villagers have been complaining since the duck came to the pond and "started" eating fish. The duck did have a reputation for being a fish eater but at the beginning it was no "big deal". After 34 months and most of the fish gone, the villagers continue to complain daily that the "duck must go, or be locked up where he cannot do more harm".

You must be one of the villagers that doesn't eat fish (eats grass like a donkey) and that doesn't care if the rest of the villagers don't eat.
