You need a link hat Bachmann is chair of the Tea Party Caucus? Really?
Membership | Tea Party Caucus
That's not what I asked for. I asked for a link substantiating that abortion and gay marriage are Tea Party issues.
Actually he won because of superior campaign infrastructure and because Romney never made the case that he was a superior alternative. Crying that a candidate ran negative ads about the other is silly, they both spent hudreds of millions of dollars doing that. The whole media thing is just playing the victim card.
You do not know how to find the "on the issues" website? Is your browser broken? Did you not notice Todd Akin in the very first row?

This from the guy who also said this today?
Holy inconsistency!
No really, I know where clarification to you leads. you wont see it anyway. I will do it for someone else, but with you i just figure you wont ever see my point of view no matter how obvious.
The trouble with discussing the tea party movement is that there isnt a tea party movement.
Sure there are people branded as, or who self identify as, tea party movement but it is not a codified movement.
If you flip back to Tuesday I recall, during the election coverage, I remember the discussion on abortion coming up an a female Republican pundit having to explain that she wasnt actually against abortions, & that views can differ within a party.
Thats in an established party, in a fluid 'movement' its even easier to find differing views.
I have a question for those that believe the Republican losses in the Senate and in the Presidency are due to Republicans not embracing the Tea Party's message enough. Below is the Contract From America, the closest to a unified coherent message from the majority of tea party groups in terms of what the Tea Party is SUPPOSEDLY about:

Could you please indicate a few things of me.
One, specifically....which portions of the Tea Party message do you think Romney, or the Senators that lost, did not adequately champion and how?
Two, what about this election gives you the feeling that the answers to the first question are what cost them their race?

No way the TPers could stand for all those things because many of those sentences contain large words (i. e. Constitution, fiscal, cap and trade, etc.) that are well above the education level of TPers.
TPers can only understand simple things like "gun" and "border."
The TP is to the US what al Queda is to the Middle East--a bunch of uneducated, angry extremists who want racial and religious "purity" and are scared of new ideas and adult concepts like freedom of speech, right to trial, etc.

Whoops...
Another partisan hack enters the fray.
I HATE agreeing with Mycroft, but in this case he's correct.
The problem is not the contract. the problem is the tea party is completelyu against freedom and choice.
The tea party wants to take abortion away entirely under religious reasons. That is respecting a religion and is forbidden by the constituion.
The tea party wants to ban gay marriage for biblcal reasons, which again violates the separation of church and state since the marriage contract is federally recognized and receives federal benefits denied to gays.
The tea party wants to reject programs to lower pollution. i don't care if you believe in global warming or not, pollution is a problem even without it, and we can make things cleaner.
The tea party is anti many groups that make up america. they are pro-white and are as close to white supremist as you can get without joining the klan. I can see why that may turn off many people.
the claims they made up are ok, and some are not terrible ideas, but they don't play for any of those. they focus on prejudicial social policies and the adoption of christian value systems and even the making of an official US religion. they are the radical right, and they have turned away from their small government roots by trying to enforce these large government prejudicial ideals that cost a ton and don't accomplish the goals. Even the republicans are turning away from their fail. I actually think if the reps would let the crazies go tea party and then come to the middle ground more they would become a viable party again and actually suck in enough disgruntled dems and independents to win. Let the tea party be a third party in obscurity where it belongs.
Indeed, the TPers are indeed partisan hacks. Hacking is about all they can hope to achieve; they're too stupid and underfunded to assemble into a potent political force.

Tell me something solletica... do you have anything substantial, accurate, and/or non-ignorant to say?
Funny, we're never we until you need our (conservatives) money.
That sounds just like something a liberal would say.

Just as I thought. You got nothing but baseless bias.
Begone, babe.
The tpers ran candidates in Missouri and Indiana, and 2 years ago, in Nevada, and lost all 3 elections for the GOP. That is accurate.

CORRECTION: it sounds like something a liberal would enjoyAnd we have--the racial-purity cheering teabags in the GOP contributed to the loss of the minority vote for Romney which helped Obama get re-elected.
Granted, O is hardly the ideal President, given his own consistent trampling of the Constitution (NDAA, warrantless wiretapping, etc.). Still, he's certainly better than a bunch of brain-dead tp dolts who don't understand the Constitution and/or want to replace it w/the Bible, and/or believe them to be the same thing.
I strongly encourage the TP to grow as a movement, and will even donate $$ to tp radio shows and candidates. The country needs more Todd Akins and Sharron Angles running for office in the GOP
