Has Trump ever done anything correct in his political career?

Does he pay someone to wipe his ass? If not, then perhaps he completed that task successfully at one time or another.

RETRIBUTION is the thread's name. With a hint of "I'm triggered by another poster's thread" thrown in.

Trump's overall policy of stopping the surge/bleed across our southern border was a good thing.

..

Yep, but why doesn’t he push for an eVerify mandate, coupled with changes to the FIT code, allowing the IRS to act as the primary enforcement mechanism? Without removing the (W-2 and 1099) employment ‘magnet’, those not opting to ‘self-deport’ (or overstay a ‘temporary’ visa) will remain a problem.

I looked. Hard to find. Most are just continuity like support for Ukraine in various ways or keeping sanctions in place.

I don’t know. The penny thing?

I really dislike Trump as a person, I think he has the mentality of a 4-year-old spoiled brat with his name calling and throwing of temper tantrums along with his 3rd grade schoolyard bullying tactics. I’ve never voted for him and never would. In fact, I have a habit of voting against any Trump backed candidates. But to answer your question, yes, Trump has done some things right. Policy wise, I’m probably split down the middle, favoring some, opposing others. It’s the man himself I can’t stand. Especially his threats and his vindictiveness. His obnoxious, uncouth, rude persona belongs back on his TV reality show, not the office of the presidency which Trump shows very little respect to with his very unpresidential behavior. In short, I can’t stand the man. I could be in 100% agreement with all his policies and stances on issues, yet still be against him, an anti-Trumper.

And Mussolini made the trains run on time.

Accomplishments by fascists get lost in the blatant lawlessness of their reigns.

An authoritarian like Trump could cure cancer, and I still won't vote for him.

Yeah, it's a little dangerous to praise anything an authoritarian does because it can only lend support to someone who is determined to destroy our liberal democracy.

Yeah, expedited the creation of a COVID virus.

Question for MAGA's (You know who you are)- Is the COVID virus a good thing?

While any President would have done that at the very least, it is somewhat comical that Trump cannot brag about probably his greatest accomplishment because his base hates that we have a COVID vaccine.

I wouldn't vote for him either. Think he's a dick.

But you sort of missed the spirit of the OP.

He's done a ton right from a policy standpoint, but his methods overshadow his achievements. If he would mature and stop the name calling and petty BS he would get much more credit.

Trump usually chooses the worst option for everything.

The very few good things he has tried to do, he has failed at.

He put the Clintons to pasture.

Everything subsequent has been Lovecraftian: catastrophe, disaster, cruelty, inanity, fascism, nativism, white nationalism, xenophobia, misogyny, rape apology, apocalypticism, and madness. But without a talent for words.

So yeah, no more Clintons. But the cost was high: the Lovecraft Imperium.

He doesn't do those things because he probably doesn't care. Trump's deportation policy has evolved into a nightmare cluster ****. The fella tends to be a reactionary micro-manager on a daily basis. With conflicting strategies that don't necessarily make sense to anyone.

But the tightening up of the stampede across the southern border was a needed step.

The Clintons may be gone but the calcified, neoliberal wealth protectors still control the Democratic Party.

It is still a center-right party.

I am right winger who has been saying much the same thing about Trump for more that two years. So I can only say this is a great comment.

No argument from me. I was just answering the OP in good faith. Trump successfully transformed the Clintons into a spent force.

That (bolded above) is a serious problem, yet the demorats are even more “reactionary” with their constant Trump bashing. Constructive criticism (which includes offering an acceptable alternative policy) seems to continue to elude the demorats. Trump has a knack for getting many (if not most) demorats to support the minority position on multiple 80/20 or 70/30 ‘issues’.
