It's a truism - well IMO - that everyone thinks they're 'in the middle' politically in the sense that they're in the right area, others are too right or left.

So, I presume MAGA people think this also - which is why almost every to them is a 'leftist' or 'RINO'.

My question is: what do most Republicans, the trump supporters, think 'far right' or 'right-wing extremists' or 'right-wing fanatic' look like?

When they're basically at war with democracy, supporting crime by their side/leader, praising authoritarianism, not criticizing neo-Nazis or Qanon on their side - what do they think those terms mean, what is 'too far right'?

America is uniquely vulnerable to tyranny. The far right MAGA's have already told us what kind of country they want. A Christian Nationalist version, with religious laws and prayer in school. Their representatives make that loud and clear.

That's a false premise, the opposite of a truism. Your opinion is wrong.

Many of us are independent politically. Perhaps to a tribalist, this doesn't make sense.

The idea of where I fit on the political continuum never enters my mind. I couldn't care less. I support a woman's right to choose, free enterprise and the military, for example. I arrive at these views independent of political ideology.

Everyone isn't a tribalist.

Well let's be honest here, if you support a right to choose then you're a RINO. lol

Who you defining as MAGA? Its hard to believe a slogan Make America Great Again has come to mean something evil and abhorrent. Make America Mediocre Again could be Biden's slogan. Sounds so much better.

I belive MAGA identifies as far right and anyone not MAGA as far left.

From Cheney to Romney and every traditional Republicans to the squad.

They are simply not rational.

The OP's political bias aside, people are evil and abhorrent. Who is being defined as MAGA is absolutely correct. The slogan is irrelevant.

I suspect its the same meaning as bigot..which is simply anyone you disagree with or who doesn't share your political views.

By that reasoning, all MAGAts believe that their political enemies are bigots.

They're imaginary critters only visible to liberals.

Nope. You missed the point.

MAGA are a distinct movement. They can be observed and described objectively. I already noted the OP's mistake in assuming everyone is a tribalist. I'm not a tribalist. First thing I wrote in the thread. Post #3. Read it.

But that's irrelevant to your fallacious post. You went from who (which is correct) to what (which is false). The "what" you deflected to wasn't the movement; you dismissed it as simply a slogan.

Tribalism.
