Public trust in President Vladimir Putin has dropped to its lowest level since 2006, according to a new state-run poll, another setback for Russia’s president as the country begins to discuss its leadership options after his term limit ends. Russians’ trust in Putin has fallen to 31.7 percent, according to data from the state-run VTsIOM pollster published Friday. The previous record low of 33.4 percent was documented in January 2019.

Not really. The siloviki (the former and current KGB people that govern Russia), oligarchs, nationalists, those that wish a return to the Soviet empire, and the ultra-religious all support Putin.
