Prosecutor's audio shows Biden's memory lapses

Who ****ing cares?
What was Obamas mental state? Dubya?
My point is this irrelevant bullshit about Biden is obviously meant to deflect from talking about the President of the United States showing pretty obvious signs of mental deficiency.

And what about how Lyndon Johnson used to act? What about that?
Why on earth is Biden in any way relevant to this kind of discussion? The President shows warning signs today. Deflecting to the previous President is counter-productive.
Just curious, but is there any topic other than Trump that we are allowed to discuss here at DP?

Amid long, uncomfortable pauses, Joe Biden struggled to recall when his son died, when he left office as vice president, what year Donald Trump was elected or why he had classified documents he shouldn't have had, according to audio Axios obtained of his October 2023 interviews with special counsel Robert Hur.

Why it matters: The newly released recordings of Biden having trouble recalling such details — while occasionally slurring words and muttering — shed light on why his White House refused to release the recordings last year, as questions mounted about his mental acuity.

The audio also appears to validate Hur's assertion that jurors in a trial likely would have viewed Biden as "a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

Partly based on that determination, Hur decided not to prosecute Biden for improper possession of classified documents, angering Republicans because Trump was facing charges in his own classified document scandal then.

So the tapes were like we thought they were considering Biden's condition and it was the opposite of what Democrats claimed.
Won't vote for Biden.

Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer's until 5 years after he left office so we dont know the degree to which it may have affected his ability to govern. The difference here is that Bidens condition was was such that he couldnt recognize members of his own cabinet. People around him knew he was deteriorating but hid his condition in order for him to run for another term. Biden was a figurehead, a puppet, he was John Gill of Star Trek fame and that was hidden from the public.
How is it possible that you dont understand that? Oops I forgot. You are a lib and everything libs do is virtuous. And anyone who opposes them is evil.
I am a noTrump conservative .

I agree that they did the country a disservice.

So now we have a different deranged elderly guy who is malignant

Not that great of a trade imo.

Yep, and why there needs to be a sea change in the party but established power tends to hold on to power. What this information does is rightfully discredit the party's leaders who said he was in better shape than he was, so now they're not going to be trusted.

So we now have the clear evidence of what everyone knew but Democrats successfully prevented us hearing until after the election (not that it helped them). So now we can ask every Cabinet member, Harris, and each and every person that interacted with him daily--why didn't you call for a 25th Amendment declaration of incompetence? Because the real scandal isn't Biden's mental state--it is what it is--but how they did everything in their power to hide it, even to the extent that they actually tried to get him elected to a second term. Another question we need answered--with Biden so clearly incompetent, who was actually making the decisions? How much was that auto-pen used that Biden never even knew about?

The thread is about Biden, dude. LOL! If you want to only talk about Trump's mental state, go to one of those threads.
I don't care.
Trumps an idiot and he's in charge of the US government. He's not just the President and the Executive branch, he's trying to be the Judicial and Legislative branches too, and he's an idiot. Probably demented, from what I see on his social media.
About that, why in hell is the President of the United States posting shit like he does on social media? Can the magatry justify that?
Anyway, Trump is what I care about, America-wise. I despise that asshole, and I will resist any deflection from his assholiness.
And, of course, you realize this means you cannot mention Trump's mental state after he's no longer President. Wouldn't want to be hypocritical, right?
Deal.

The Biden senility coverup was not just the lie of the year (or should have been). It was the lie of the decade, maybe even the biggest lie in US history.

We came so close to electing a senile demented old man with the tacit if not out-and-out willing defense of the lie by the entire left-leaning media.

There will be graduate level courses on this in colleges a century from now.
LOL

Discuss what you want. You don't need my permission.
But I'm going to express my despising of your President every time I can find an opening to do so. He's not only an idiot and a dimwitted juvenile arrested-development case but he has declared that your country is the enemy of mine.
So get used to me crapping on him every chance I get.

Just imagine what other world leaders thought of this guy when they met with him. There had to be someone, behind the scenes, telling them to disregard anything he says, and that so and so is the one that is really in charge.

Glad I don't have to vote for Biden in 2028. Otherwise what is the point of this new trend lately of Biden bashing threads? To take the focus off of the f... ups of Trump?

Who knows, who cares. But if there are people out there that need this, I guess they need this.
I wonder if more people will vote for Biden in 2028, or Trump. Probably the same amount.

Wow. You would have to try real hard to miss the point by as far as you did. Whats astonishing is how the people who this should upset the most--Trump hating libs like you--it bothers the least. Had the truth about Bidens mental collapse come out in 2023, the dems could have run an actual primary and may, in fact, have won in 2024. But no, the administration and the left wing media lied to you about it, you fell for it of course, and now Trump is back in office. This should outrage you, but you are fine with this level of dishonesty.
You guys voted for a convicted criminal that is also senile you don’t have any room to talk and Biden stepped down for a reason

There where MANY Dems asking about Bidens mental ability. Please do make a distinction between those that hid the man's condition and those that recognized his mental slide.

It's not the first occasion where a Presidents condition was hidden from the general public. Wilson was effectively an invalid post stroke, and FDR was on his last legs and had no buisness seeking a fourth term.

This is nothing new, and not surprising when we keep electing geriatrics as President. The previous guy was over 80, the current occupant is almost as old.

Perhaps it's time we have a maximum age for the job, it would prevent over the hill candidates such as Biden and Trump from clinging to office when it's obvious they are not just over the hill, but at the bottom.

Oh please, there other contenders for the crown. Wilson's wife virtually was President after the man's stroke. She kept most political leaders from visiting the President as he lay in his sick bed for months.

Im not upset about anything. Even your moronic posts dont upset me.

If you want to talk about any of them, start a thread. This thread is about Biden. Maybe stick you your hockey game if you cant focus.
Thats just their standard message board tactic to try to avoid talking about a subject they want to ignore. Totally transparent tactic that they do constantly like it works on anyone.

Well, I guess wondering whether the CURRENT Cabinet and VP would invoke the 25th is off the table. They line up to kiss this demented man’s ass - and I can’t think of any of the Cabinet members that are actually qualified for their roles.
Just imagine what other world leaders thought of this guy when they met with him. There had to be someone, behind the scenes, telling them to disregard anything he says, and that so and so is the one that is really in charge.
See the speech our current POTUS just made in Qatar? 😂😂😂

Why is it that "people close to him" choose to speak out when a book is written rather than having the b***s to speak out while he is in office?
It's just the media trying to save face after covering for Biden. It's too late. Only Democrats think the corporate media is credible.
And who cares? Biden isn't running for anything these days.
Who cares about the last guy who clearly wasn't cognitively capable of being President and making important decisions? Wtf?

You are at least the third Borg to say that. But I get it, you want to pretend that mistake never happened and make sure that the only discussions allowed here at DP are those critical of Trump. Sorry, but not all of us are sheep-like enough to play along
They want to avoid talking about this like its the plague.

Who cares about the last guy who clearly wasn't cognitively capable of being President and making important decisions? Wtf
The POTUS that led the US to the strongest post-Covid economic recovery in the world? The POTUS that had Russia marginalized? The POTUS where the US still had a AAA credit rating and where the US dollar was the envy of the world? The POTUS with a full employment economy?

They want to avoid talking about this like it’s the plague.
Because Biden didn’t run for a 2nd term in the end. Because he stepped aside. Because he’s no longer POTUS.

Because we currently have a MORE demented man in the Oval

Perhaps the present is more important than the past 🤷‍♀️

Everyone in his administration, Pelosi, Schumer, Jeffries, Schiff, Swalwell, & Kamala that covered it up all should never be trusted again and they should all be asked about this.

The media knew as well. They were in on it.
