You just quoted my post..."prevent that from happening again, with any president." It's like any oversight effort, trying to determine steps for preventing it in the future.

The actual subject of this thread has been repeated over and over again: That "we were lied to" and that that's a total horror.

Of course people are going to ask where all this outrage is over the coverup of Trump's dementia with "he's playing 4D chess," "ha ha, that's just Trump, he said another nutty thing, he always has and nothing's different" and other gaslighting.

It's definitely on-topic.

Regardless of if you like the title of this thread or not, participation in the subject matter is indeed voluntary. And you can discuss whatever off topic subject you wish to. And I will continue to call it out. ;)

I don't think that matters. The smearing matters (to MAGA) and hopping onto a very hot topic matters to the media.

And I and others will continue to call out this major deflection from the concerns over the current administration.

I mean all of this is pretty much a given on a message board, people say things...others respond...

I am not one to ever take our MSM as being 100% accurate, are you? What I tend to do is research on my own. It is very helpful. Now back to the subject of the this thread….do you believe President Biden was having cognitive issues during his Presidency? Yes or No?

Of course you didn’t need my permission. I never said you did. I merely called out those whom insist on deflection/gaslighting when it comes to the actual subject of this thread. If you are bothered by that, I really don’t care.

Good that you don't care! It's important now more than ever to call out exactly the same thing as this accusation happening with the current administration. The gaslighting is off the charts. If it's incredibly upsetting and dangerous to have an apparently demented president, then it is.

And it seems it is.

Q to all: are signs of dementia in a president a concern, or aren't they?

Is all this "oh, that's just Trump, ha ha" gaslighting by both the media (very very often) and by Trump supporters a concern or is it not?

If it is, and those around Biden covering for him should be held responsible, can the same be said for Trump? Simple yes or no answer. If it's no, then this thread is just more smearing and doesn't need to be taken so seriously. If yes, then we have something serious on our hands as one of these people showing apparent signs of dementia is currently in office. The other is in retirement, and has cancer.

We should believe what we heard.

It sounds like typical memory lapses in a much older person under extreme pressure to me.

It in itself isn't proof of anything, IMO.

The debate, however, was shocking -- that's why Dems urged Biden to drop out. Because unlike MAGAs, if we actually witness a danger like that, we don't try to force it onto the American people anyway. And if anyone here wants to be honest, we had never witnessed Biden the way Biden was at the debate. Full stop.

Now, oddly, after the disastrous debate -- which we Dems called disastrous on the spot, in fact I was here on this forum at the time -- Biden gave other interviews and made other statements that were nowhere near the level of the debate disaster. So it's been a confusing ride, but I can say that Dems, unlike Pubs, immediately urged a replacement; they did not gaslight everyone and say "oh, that's just Biden, it's 4D chess, ha ha."

The discussion about the documents took place over several days. I didn’t feel that Hur was pressuring Biden at all. In fact I found Hur handle Biden with kid gloves (at least from the audio I heard), and in spite of that Biden went after Hur making up lies about the actual conversation.
As for the debate, if I am being honest I believe at that point the Dem’s wanted Biden gone. And that is why there was an insistence of having the debates earlier then they have even been done in the past. I also believe that is why we all were front and center when President Obama led Biden off the stage. Instead of being honest with the Country, they engaged in getting Biden out.
And listening to Biden answer Hur’s questions makes it perfectly clear that Biden was not up the challenge of making major decisions that a President of the United States has to make.
