Propaganda By Pic

Personally? He has demonstrated that society can go further down into the gutters than previously imagined. I never for a moment thought that he'd win, I laughed out loud for days when I heard he had entered into the race...I had too much faith in your country, it would appear.

And don't confuse whining with pity...we pity you. Your president, most of the world has written off as an asshat, but *you*, the American people, however self deluded as just under half of you are, we pity you. We feel sorry for you. We wish you a speedy recovery and return to your senses and a bit of class. We cringe in empathy with every new headline, every new scandal, every new tweet.

Maybe you don't get that...maybe you don't think that's him DOING anything to you...if so, then you have lost all sense of shame. And I pity you for that too.
So...he LITERALLY has done nothing to wreck your sad little world. But...still.........

You should see a pic of a high official, the pic was clearly chosen to make the official look bad, it is on a piece that is slamming that official for his acts, which widens into a Trump Hit Piece.

Once they go so far as to run with the pic like that should everything that comes after be ignored, maybe because they have violated journalism, the norm of reporting the truth without bias?

I say yes.

He asked, they said no. Why is the outrage?

So...he LITERALLY has done nothing to wreck your sad little world. But...still.........

Hey, don't project, I don't have a "sad little world", Canada's leader is admired around the world...lol... We got rid of our conservative embarrassment in our last election.

The good news is that when you guys do the same, the world tends to forgive, especially with an economy as big as yours. Sure, you might have to eat a little crow, but once the world isn't afraid of America flushing it down the toilet, with Captain Jackass leading the charge, you'll be welcomed back...though I think in your effort to "MAGA", you've actually tarnished yourselves to the point where a complete recovery is impossible. Oh, you might do great things, but there's always going to be that one wise ass in the corner that will be like "Ya, but remember The Don??"...and everyone will laugh....and be relieved that's not a thing anymore...hehe...

Again, if you don't see that as Trump "DOING" something, well...hehe...not sure this conversation is going to go much beyond you telling me how "sad" my "little world" is, and me laughing in response.

Your 'leader'? Hows he doing on that whole loving and accepting illegal immigrants?

Leader? Nothing personal, but who LITERALLY gives a **** about what Canada does about ANYTHING?

Jealous? His admirers sound just like the mindless Obots and Hillary Clinton fans. They 'gush'.

How has that whole illegal immigrant thing worked out? How does that 'real world' taste?

I don't know, to be honest, the government is handling it, and no one's losing our minds over it - well, other than the small alt-right, American wannabes that we seem to be catching, like crabs or something. I know that concept if rather foreign to you, maybe it's the cooler temperatures up here, I don't know, but everything is chill, we'll figure it out. One more thing I'm grateful for is the lack of American drama up here...and, of course, the fact that our leader doesn't encourage the drama with out of control, nonsensical rhetoric. That does help too...along with the colder temps, of course. ;)

Ya, man, I see you trying hard to deflect and talk smack, but there's literally nothing you can say to me that doesn't sound funny from where you're sitting. And THAT is what Donald Trump has done to YOU, in addition to whatever list the right and left want to debate over. As much of a pissant little nation (well, population wise, 2nd biggest geography in the world, but now I'm just braggin') as Canada is, Donald Trump has made the once great America a laughing stock in comparison, to the point where I can talk **** to you today, and walk away completely unaffected by any of your snappy comebacks, because, hey, at least I don't live in the states! lol Trump has reduced America to troll bait. How bow dah! hehe

Anyway, I'm off, great talking to you, Vance, always fun, you know I love you...and honestly, all smack talk aside, I do feel sorry for you guys, it sucks, but it'll pass. No one wishes you ill, we're just having a little chuckle...maybe this will simply go down in history as "America - The Intermission".... Have a good one, bud!! :)

I'm disappointed in the Elite Class, and perhaps the Little People too.

This level of bias should get condemnation.

Yet you voted to put a member of the elite class in the White House...

Not sure why you would ever feel sorry for us. I mean...at the end of the day, as bad as things get here...you are...Canada...

Look...I said the same thing about Trump that I said about Obama. He's just a President. Thats why it is so comical that we see so many people freaking out over the guy. He has done nothing to destroy anyones life. Its goofy people act that way. He has done nothign to damage the country...again...thats just stupid simple minded rhetoric. A president int he US has the power to execute legislative actions. Period. Thats why when people were freaking out about Obamas gun control overtures I said then...relax...ALL he can do is sign an Executive Order...and Executive orders cannot make enforcement of existing law more stringent...only less. The President cannot create law. He cannot create treaties. Thats why the Obama engagement in the PCA was so stupid and why everyone freaking out about it came across foolish.

Trump is no ones dream President. I didnt vote for him. If he runs again in 2020 (which i doubt he will) I wont vote for him then. But I am much happier that he is president than Hillary. If NOTHING changes, Im still satisfied with his Supreme Court choice and that would have been the ONLY determining factor for me if I had to vote for one or the other. But I dont have to vote for one or the other. And havent in about 14 years.

I think you understand the impact of negative branding, for one thing, and I think it goes beyond that. It's one thing to look like a dick on Twitter -- while being the president, how embarassing...it's another thing to take that style of communication into international relations. Not everybody is as chill about it as you are, and if you hadn't noticed, the current state doesn't lend itself well to flippancy at best, and roid rage level ranting at worst. I kid around about the embarrassing elements, but the serious side is what happens when Trump bumbles into something that some other lunatic can't back down from ... This Korea dialogue would be hilarious in some kind of mock super hero comic, but when both sides have nukes it loses a bit of the humor. I can't imagine any other president publicly calling a leader of another nation, with nuclear capabilities no less, who also happens to believe that his dad was born from the tip of a unicorn's horn on the sixth Sunday in February, names like Rocket Man. How is that not a big deal?? Why *aren't* you freaking out?? lol

I'm not freaking out because I'm an adult and I understand government. Trump does not have his hand on a nuclear button. That's such a silly childish political viewpoint. And yes...Trump gets into Twitter tits and tats. So what? Seriously...who ****ing cares...except.well...you? You know what I find MARVELOUS? You...people like you...you can **** kittens over Trump since 9 Novemeber, express all manner of attack and hatred...and then talk about things like uniting, and love conquering hate, and dissension, and how Trump is causing unrest, and how TRUMP should be a better man. How YOU dont have to be a better man because YOU arent president.

The swamp gets deeper and deeper, except now the billionaires are directly running the government.

How can you not see this? You speak of "the elites" as if Trump is not one, when he is and is filling up the government with his elite cronies. The guy in the OP is just one of many. It's a billionaire coup d'etat.

This tread is about choosing pics to drive an agenda, not about my agreement or disagreeable with that agenda, in particular is it ok the find the most unflattering pick of the person that is being run down and running it big? It rubs me the wrong way, to my mind this is a gross violation of the golden rule and thus should not find support from civilized folk.....regardless of the target.

No, you opened up comment on "the elite class"! You even capitalized it!

I'm disappointed in the Elite Class, and perhaps the Little People too.

It is iron clan proof of how bad the elite class has gone rancid, and we were beginning to notice even before.
I'm following your lead. You went there, not I. And I'm now rebutting your assertions (quite well, I believe).

My being disappointed in the elite class for tolerating and engaging in gross propaganda in the bias in media forum under a thread title propaganda by pic is not an opening to discuss my feelings on Trump. You appear to have Trump on the Brain Syndrome...you might get that looked at.

You interjected "the elite class" is "stooping to new lows", and I'm responding that the elite class in reality is the subject in the picture and his boss in the White House that appointed him . One Ivy League billionaire appointing another. So you are wrong.

If you're not able to defend your retorts, perhaps you should phrase them better. Or be more factually accurate. But right now you're mistaken in claiming the" "elites" are banging away on a "non-elite" administration and government. The administration is the elites, and they've bamboozled many into believing some 60K/yr reporter or some intern copywriter is "elite". While the real elites laugh all the way to the bank, with their billions and your vote!

I work hard at preventing partisanship from preventing me from having good dialogue with folks from "the other side", and if you look throughout my posts you'll see plenty of examples of that. Most of the people on my friends list here are in the "conservative camp". Don't take our punchy sparring as my norm - you seem to like it salty, so that gives me permission to have a little fun.

You can "talk about things like uniting, and love conquering hate, and dissension" while also pushing back hard against the engines of that dissension, who is embodied in your president, who used that dissension to take the win. It's kinda like being really pro-health, while advocating for the removal of malignant tumors.

And who cares about his Twitter account? Are you being serious when you say it's only me? lol... I mean, come on... Have you read a newspaper? Do you want me to put up a poll? I get that you're very into winning debates and all, but let's just try to keep things in the realm of seriousness a *little* bit...that's what I would find "marvelous"....

Anyway... I respect your right to wrap yourself in the warm and fuzzy assertion that having a bipolar horse's ass for a president won't harm you, and maybe you'll get lucky and your wish will come true. I think you are at WAY more risk as a nation than you are willing to admit, but beating this dead horse further doesn't seem likely to change either of our minds, so I will wish you good luck with all of that, and I'll continue to be grateful, as I am every day, that I live up here, and not down there - at least for the next 3 and change years.

Only you...and everyone else that is openly and obviously filled with a weird unnatural hatred of the man...seems to care about his twitter use. Sure...lots have said they wish he would stop. Hell...I have said it. But worry about it? Freak out about it? Why? HIS perspective is that the 'media' is so slanted and twisted that they cant be trusted to give his direct viewpoints. And he is right. So...Twitter is both a curse and a blessing.

Yes...yes...I get it. You think we areat risk. You assert he has caused damage. Many leftists since 9 November have been shrieking "ohmigawdwereallgonnaddddiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeee!!!!" THe express poutrage about the destruction he has caused. And I have asked the same question of them that I have asked of you. What has he DONE. No silly childish rhetoric...just give me something REAL that you can point to that he has DONE. Crickets chirp. You make silly claims about his finger on the nuclear button...you arent alone but you made it. I cant help but wonder if you know ANYTHING about how that all works and just posted something stupid anyway or if you really dont know...but you hard someone else say the same stupid thing an you bought it so why not repeat it.

Propaganda...appropriate.

I'm sorry, if you can't understand how taunting a delusional psycho with nuclear capabilities with Elton John lyrics is wildly risky and problematic (which is the only thing I suggested "freaking out" about, with "freak out" said half flippantly in reference to something else you said), I don't think you're up to the challenge of this conversation after all.

But by all means, make yourself feel better by acting obtuse and calling me stupid for not having my head up my ass.

Its comical that you think that Kim's actions are being dictated by Trump. Its like you just woke up after a nice 30 year long nap.

And it's comical that you think Trump's rhetoric and tough guy routine isn't putting gasoline on the fire. It's like you're still snoozing, and dreaming of something else entirely.

Again...its the difference between looking at it through hate filled childish eyes and an adult. I'm content allowing you and others to panic. Or better yet...reminisce about the 'good ol days' with Obama...who sat back and watched Kim and di nothing AND who gave Iran the keys to the nuclear trucks.

But you LOVE Obama...he was awesome. And you LOVE your cute cuddly PM. HE is quite the world leader too.

lol... I always know I'm getting to you when you start deflecting and whataboutting and name calling. It's kinda cute, actually. Doesn't change the facts, but it is cute...

So, you think it's a good idea for the President of the United States to get into the diplomatic equivalent of a "Your mamma" joke brawl with an unstable nuclear power? I mean, you're ridiculing me for being concerned...you think this is a smart strategy, the best approach America has to offer? So much better than Obama's prudence? Please, given your lack of patience with "childishness", how does your president acting like an insecure bully struggling with puberty inspire your derision towards folks who point that out?

Your a stuffed shirt, high and mighty, are all the people up in Ontario like you or are you just one of the few?

Rocket Man, I love it and that is being kind. But I would like to know how you wish to honor Rocket Man with the proper elitist title worthy of his position as a countries leader to wipe out the US?
