I really am speechless. This is taking place in my neighborhood. https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20160202/rogers-park/pro-rape-mens-rights-group-plans-saturday-rally-rogers-park I'd seriously love to kick this guy in the nuts.

I believe this has been blown out of proportion. IMO, his message is more "lets stop blaming men for everything and start at least holding women responsible for some things" and less rape is good. But, I may be wrong.
These people want to legalize rape on private property. Is that being blown out or proportion?I propose that we make the violent taking of a woman not punishable by law when done off public grounds
By attempting to teach men not to rape, what we have actually done is teach women not to care about being raped, not to protect themselves from easily preventable acts, and not to take responsibility for their actions. At the same time, we don’t hesitate to blame men for bad things that happen to them (if right now you walked into a dangerous ghetto and got robbed, you would be called an idiot and no one would say “teach ghetto kids not to steal”
It is unbelievable that folks can not see that by reading what he said.I've read his blog and he was VERY CLEARLY using an absurdist approach to the issue.
The "men's rights" movement is a festering pile of misogyny, period. They are disgusting scourges in our society that are to sex what the KKK is to race. And it would not surprise me if there were a lot of overlap between the two.
It is unbelievable that folks can not see that by reading what he said.
He has even clarified that point by saying it was satire, yet idiots still can not accept the truth.
This is the main issue with this, particular freedom. Everyone wants it. Few want any responsibility associated with it.While we all support freedom of speech, there are some people who shouldn't take advantage of it.
This is the meat of it These people want to legalize rape on private property. Is that being blown out or proportion?

It's because they so desperately want to hate. Some people will seek out things to justify their hate. For most of the people who took this as Koosh being pro-rape, it's a matter of looking for a reason to validate their hatred of men's rights groups.

Should rape be legal?
No one said that it should be legal. You just want to have a reason to hate someone. If you read the full article that Koosh wrote (WITH AN OPEN MIND) and not just the little snippets that feed your hate, you'd see that all he was doing was using a poorly constructed absurdist approach to an issue. But I doubt that you'll do so, since you're already committed to justifying your hate. My guess is that you'll continue to believe that Koosh really did mean that rape should be legal and focus on the parts of his article that when taken out of context, look like he does, since that would require that you actually take the step of admitting that you were wrong. You'll ignore the first few paragraphs where he makes it clear that rape is wrong, you'll ignore the multiple comments he's made trying to get the less intellectually capable to actually understand what he was so poorly trying to say. I'm no fan Koosh, since I think that he takes a legitimate issue and takes it to an extreme usually reserved for groups like NOW, but at least have the integrity to read the whole article with an open mind.

The guy back pedaled and calls it now satire, while is a coward's way out.
Group behind ‘make rape legal’ message cancels events nationwide, including in Utah | fox13now.com
His sick thoughts come out of a very disturbed mind.

Come on....do you really believe he is unhinged enough to propose actually legalizing rape? I see it more as trolling...successful trolling, obviously.
I don't know the man, but reading some of the stuff he puts out there, I don't think I would want to be anywhere near him. I am not taking chances.
Another interesting thing about what was planned here in Chicago is that he picked a busy intersection in the middle of a predominantly middle eastern neighborhood to hold this rally.
So if you're for mens' rights, then you're for rape; is that your contention? So your conclusion is that men shouldn't have any rights or advocate for their own rights, because in this day and age it's okay to trample on them. Maybe in your world men have too many rights and should give some up. Because all men who want to protect their rights are absolutely pro-rape? And furthermore if you're a man who seeks to protect his rights then you're like the KKK, isn't that right? I want you on record supporting the notion that if a man wants to protect his rights, then he supports rape. Please say it!
