Extortion from the point of view of when does it stop?I think you kind of missed my point. Sometimes it's 'placating extortion'. Other times it's making illegal political donations laundering them as lawsuit settlements. Who says they mind the $16 million payment - it's letting them get away with murder buying the government off to approve huge mergers that perhaps wouldn't be approved by an honest government.
