President Obama Versus Radical Islam

What will radical Islam do if anything toward Obama (President of the United States of America) being that his father was a muslim? Will it be a welcome or an ultimatim? Will they try to close the gap or will they strike out at him if he does not at minimum, favor Allah over Christianity?

IMO the radicals view Obama as a threat. Anti-American sentiment in the ME supports their cause, and a reduction of that or worse, pro-American sentiment undermines their cause.

We can see they are already attacking Obama to discredit him in the Muslim world. I think that will continue and they will try to provoke him into taking positions that are viewed disfavorably in the Arab world.

Obama is a threat to the Radicals, something Bush never was.
If i didn't know any better, I'd say Al Qaeda are intimidated and fearing a Obama administration. The President-elect is willing to listen and address issues that is between US and the Muslim. He is also determined to start building bridges.

Radical Muslims do not want this.
They want another Bush who will attack countries and give them a rallying point to gain supporters. Obama's actions will be critical to the future of such groups. If he approaches Muslim countries with respect then he will do something the Bush administration never succeeded in. Winning over Moderates once again. Being US's friend and wanting democracy will no longer be a dirty secret or terms.

So to answer the question, Obama would be the enemy of radicals regardless for 2 reasons. He is American and he is the President.

Radical, violent, Salafist, jihadis see most everyone alive today as their enemy in some fashion. I don't think there's much short of launching nukes on all non-Islamic countries -including the US- that Obama could do to win them over.
