President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for coronavirus, the President announced early Friday morning.
"Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!" Trump tweeted shortly before 1 am Friday.
The President had said earlier in the night that he planned to quarantine.
"Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!" Trump tweeted Thursday night.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for both. This is not something I would wish on anyone.
 
I wish him well but I think he can clearly forget about being re-elected, this makes his position on covid just plain wrong and will hand this to Biden, game over. No more rallies, no more debates and no more personal appearances for the guy running 8 points behind.

“The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions. Rest assured I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments," Conley added.

Remember how Trump and White House and Pence (who is in charge of covid response as per Trump) have all claimed that Trump and Pence don't need to wear a mask because they are tested all the time and therefore they are not a danger to others?
 
I had covid, I don't want anyone to have it or suffer from it.

But, no one should be so freaking stupid as to be anti mask, not avoid crowds and not have others around him without masks.

Ignore science at your own peril
 
I wish I believed that this man can learn empathy from his personal experiences in life. I don't. If he gets really sick and then recovers, it will serve no good purpose because he won't learn from it. He will not start talking about masks, or pleading that his rally fans socially distance. He will literally never look at a medical bill, or ask what life must be like for people who get sick without insurance. Its completely useless suffering. Not a fan of useless suffering. I can only hope he does not actually get sick.

I hope he takes about 3 and 1/2 weeks to recover, just in time to lose. He deserves a scare, downplay this? He's also his worst enemy, the guy is a germaphobe, and good chance this is WAY too much stress. He's probably best off resigning to recover. Won't help with those mini strokes he didn't have. I don't hope he dies or suffers anything long term, but I hope he has a miserable three weeks, he deserves far worse.

It ain't up to me anyway, it's god's now (or whatever).
 
I'm sure it will go away, some people might even say it'll go away like a miracle. It'll be one guy in the WH with the virus, maybe 10 to 15 people tops. It is fine. He is doing a great job.

Why would he kick the bucket from a liberal hoax?

Also, I'd be willing to bet the GOP and hell even Pence probably want him to kick the bucket more than the Dems. That way, they could replace him with someone they actually like, and is less of an embarrassment , and they still pass the EXACT same policies as they do now with Trump currently as president. It's a win win for the GOP.
