Predictions.

Trump did exactly what a president can do. A president is not a king.

He had the authority to take control of the states a develop a uniform plan on mask mandates, business closures...etc.

He screwed the pooch

We have governors and state legislatures for a reason. Governors and state legislatures don't work for a president.

You are just uninformed about the national emergencies act

Its,ok. you dont understand the law

I understand the law just fine. A president is restricted by law. There's this thing called the US Constitution. The federal government only has certain enumerated powers. States have a lot of authority to govern themselves which which a president can't impinge upon.

Again, there's a reason we have governors and state houses. The current president did what he was authorized to do.

Now, if yiu wanted to argue that he should set an example by wearing a mask in public, you could make that argument, but he has no authority to create a law mandating mask wearing across the country.

People die. A president isn't God. He can't perform a miracle. What could Trump have done that he didn't do? Order states to shut down businesses and execute stay at home orders?

This section is all about CONGRESS, so there is no reason to talk about the PRESIDENT here.

Wishful thinking. There is no chance voters who wanted Donald Trump to be impeached and convicted will change their minds about that and vote for Republicans.

I actually know the FACTS about Trump and Democratic voters. You base your opinions about him on nothing but emotions.

People who care about facts hate Trump.

People hate Trump BECAUSE of facts.

It's a fact trump screwed up the pandemic response

That fact has been proven over 180,000 times.

This section is all about CONGRESS, so there is no reason to talk about the PRESIDENT here.

Then why did you bring Trump into the thread?

Oops.....

I was talking about voters and Tabby made my comments about Trump.

Your first response in this thread was a Trump swerve. Don’t blame someone else for your actions. Have you even addressed the actual subject of this thread?

Trump is the only President in history to never reach 50% approval in the Gallup poll 7 out of 10 new covid 19 cases are in States Trump carried in 2016 10 million people are out of work Most Americans support BLM protests Trump lost all 3 Debates with Hillary.

Poll: Most Americans support Black Lives Matter protests
You are really desperate if you have to quote polls from July.

Then, you should know that 'Garbage in is garbage out', and 'There are lies, damn lies and statistics'. And, there are more than just statistics in analyzing polls
You reside at Garbage in Central, so i leave to you what your output is like.

You're right there is more to statistics in analyzing polls. There is analyzing methodology and poll construction. The order of questions makes a big difference. For example, two national polls came out the same day. Both used the same language to ask about President Trump. One asked the question after several the questions about Democratic candidates. The other asked it after several questions about administration policies. Even though they polled the same group in the same period, the results on the one question were 7% different.

None of that changes the basic fact that 40% of eligible voters will win in a landslide. No President since WW II has come close. It's why the Democrats are acting scared. Their own poling has to be telling them what I just told you--Trump turnout could be the only thing that is important on election day. The only thing.

Uh huh. Right.

Not in a national emergency

A contrived national emergency doesn’t override the US constitution.

You really do not understand the national emergencies act which trump invoked already

You wanted indisputable facts. There they are.

I am disputing what you think are facts, therefore, they are not indisputable facts. They are in fact, poorly formed pinons.

You have not even tried to dispute the facts.

For that, you would need real facts, not alternate facts and not just your 'pinon'.

What facts?

What facts?
The fact that 43% of the voting population is 95 million potential votes. If Trump has 3/4 of his poll supporters actually vote for him, he gets over 70 million votes, ie over 50%. That's with zero votes from any other source. This is using a potential voter pool--18 or over and citizen--of 220 million.

The question for you is what proportion of Trump supporters are motivated to vote?

and BIden is 50% of the voting population. Do you have a point? A seven point lead is a seven point lead.;

Again, what percentage of the voting population is motivated to vote. What percentage will vote for the Green party instead? How many do not vote at all? When you hear that Democrats are lagging in enthusiasm, this is where it matters.

That's what happened to Trump in 2016. Four million typically Republican voters switched to Gary Johnson or Evan McMullin. Write ins were also up almost a million, but it's hard to tell which candidate those hurt more, if either.

This year, people who oppose Trump are very motiivated, since they see the corruption, his track record, and who he really is.
